They were meant to be. Of course they were.
They needed each other like lungs. Like air. Like life.
But as Jay was strangled by a thief, knife to his throat. Her heart stopped. She hadn't seen him in a week.
She couldn't lose him.
"Give me the gem. Or your boy," the thief shook him, Jay grunting in pain as his head was shoved to the bullet-proof vest. "won't be much of a boy anymore."
Nya thinks she has the gem... or the fake. The fate of Ninjago is in her hands. But the stake of Ninjago...
Or her yin.
"Don't do it! He'll--" The thief stamped a tape around his mouth.
"Talk again or I will stitch your mouth again." The thief hissed.
Nya heard it all. She growled.
"You b--" Jay seethed throught the tape.
"The gem. And your yin lives. No gem, no yin."
She gripped the gem, feeling it soften.
It's the fake!
"Give me my yin, and I'll give you the gem." She said.
The thief looked at her eyes, searching for any secrets.
The thief ripped the tape off of Jay's mouth and threw him the ground.
Jay's hands electrified, as he growled. She saw them, the holes, and the dried blood around his mouth.
"The gem. Now."
She tossed it to him and Jay snapped his fingers. The lights went out.
They ran to the rooftop of some building, away from the thieves.
"T-The gem?" Jay studdered.
"Fake."
"O-Oh."
She blinked, before hugging him. He was really here!
"I'll be here."
"Forever."
