Onika's POV

I smiled at Robyn. "You're drunk," she said as she played with Ayla and Shay in the pool.

"I'm not drunk. I drove here," I said sitting on the edge of the pool.

"That's a scary thought babe," she said.

"I'm not drunk though," I defended.

"Your mommy is drunk Ayla," Robyn sang.

"I'm not give me a drunk test," I said.

"What's the alphabet backwards," she asked.

"Z Y X W T S," I started.

"Alright you got past Y so you passed me when I'm sober," she chuckled. I laughed.

"Told you, I know my limit," I said.

"Your ass used to drink some hard liquor, if you can handle 3 mojitos and a shot," she said.

"Well I was drinking champ, back in my pre-Ayla days," I bragged.

"Ok well one day when the girls are with their other parents we'll see if you can outdrink me," she laughed.

"This is going to end horribly," I laughed.

"Yup , you're going to be in the hospital with alcohol poisoning, because of your little puny body," she started.

"Shut the fuck up," I said.

"Look I don't know how you raise your kid, but this a Christian house, and we do not curse around this here house," she said stifling laughter.

"You lucky you holding the kids, I would have thrown something at you," I said.

"Anyway, how was your luncheon with the grandparents? Probably not so well since you attempted to get drunk," she laughed.

"Well me and Bey set out a schedule for when she gets Ayla," I said with a smile.

"Impressive," she said.

"Everything else was a disaster," I said.

"Ok what happened," she asked.

"Bey's mother wants to plan Ayla's birthday party," I said, rolling my eyes.

"Why," she asked.

"I don't know, plus she wants to have it in the backyard," I complained.

"Hey I've seen Bey's backyard turn into a beautiful place for an event," she said.

"Then have Shay's party there," I said, rolling my eyes.

"Shay's not having a party," she said.

"Why not," I asked.

"Her momma don't want her to have one, and I've gotten to the point with it that I've just thrown my hands up with the matter," he said.

"How could you do that," I asked.

"Truthfully, she's not going to remember it. And I was starting to get stressed and once I get stressed. I'm done. If it was something important like education, fine, but a birthday party. Hell naw, that ain't me," she said, spinning the girls around in a circle. Ayla and Shay giggled uncontrollably.

"Are you saying to let go of the fact that I'm not planning the party," I asked.

"I'm saying you're much too beautiful to be stressed over something that small, love," she said before winking at me. I blushed and turned away and she continued playing with the kids. I swear I have a crush on the sweetest girl in the world.

Beyonce's POV

"Momma," I shouted.

"Girl, why are you always shouting my name? I'm changing my name to Adam," she said, coming down the steps with water and 2 Tylenol.

"Adam," I said, running to give her a hug. She stared at me blankly.

"What," she finally said.

"I get Ayla," I said with a smile.

"Aww look at my daughter glowing about her daughter. I knew I raised you better than what you've been doing for the past few weeks," she said with a smile. Her first genuine smile since I told her about Ayla.

"I'm happy ma," I said with a smile. She smiled at me and sat on the couch. I sat down with her and grabbed her hand. "Ma, I just feel like I wanna be a good parent, ya know. Like I want my daughter to know me and love me. I even signed us up for mother-daughter classes," I said. She smiled at me.

"I'm happy," she said before putting her feet across my lap and laying out on the couch. I knew that meant she was getting one of her migraines.

"Want me to leave ma," I asked.

"You don't have to, daughter," she said.

"I'm going to go," I whispered. She nodded, and I stood up. I quickly got her two bottles of water and her bottle of Excedrin. I also picked up a bag of potato chips and placed them beside her. I gave her a kiss on her forehead and cut off all the lights before leaving.

"Bye ma, I hope you feel better," I said walking out the door. I pouted all the way to my car. I hate when my mommy is sick.
