- In the forest of Alf, 41 years ago-

Raven Solas was on her knees while her family's house was on flames. Around her were dead bodies of elves who killed her parents and ransacked her home. Her only belongings was in her backpack, this included her family photos, the combat manuals which could only be opened by them willingly, some clothes that she managed to save from the fire, and a sword that was passed on by the generations.

She heard galloping horses coming so she hid her belongins in some bushes hoping they won't find it. Picked up her sword and turned around to face them. Her only thought were that her older sister was safe as she moved out of the forest when she married a fellow elf. But she knew that Riveria, her best friend couldn't help her as the elves wore the symbol of the royal guard. When the horses arrived in front of her she knew that her only choice was to surrender as she couldn't fight of hundreds of warriors and magicians at once. At the front was her "king" she spat on the ground as she watched him with hateful eyes as a black flame burned in her soul.

"What is this blashemy?" shouted Larfal Ljos Alf when he saw the carnage that was left behind.

"This" -Raven pointed with her sword around- " was done by your soldiers just recently. I just protected myself."

"Arrest her!" shouted Larfal to those around him.

Raven could do nothing that to throw away her sword and knelt down with her hands behind her back. Two of the elves came forward and arrested her with ropes. They picked her up and went to the cart that they brought. They pushed her inside and closed the door. The coachman turned around.

"Psst. Kid, the worst and the best that you can get is an exile as your family's fame is too big, that they can't execute you. That would bite Larfal in the bottoms" said to her the coachman who was her godfather, but this was kept secret to the world because of their legacy.

"I know... It just.. I-i can't" She couldn't speak what was on her mind. "some stuff... near bush"

The driver nodded got off to "to check the wheels" and went to the bush the get the bag out and put in the compartment below his seat.

After they searched the burned down house, finding two bodies and burried them in the backyard. With wooden cross saying "Here rest Elfin & Zenith Solas" they turned around and jumped on their horses. After they were done with the clean up they turned to their king.

"Did you find the manuals?" Larfal asked. They shook their heads saying no. Larfal became enraged and went to their prisoner. He kicked the door. "Where are the manuals you infadel?"

Raven looked at him and smirked.

"Well my "lord" the manuals that you were searching for never even existed, all the knowedge was passed down to parent to child. Oh and never the firstborn, for they were to learn just a part of it. More importantly the knowledge you seek was destroyed as the training would begin at the age of 15. Just one week later."

After Raven finished the king was more furious than ever as he didn't know this significant information. Larfal should have offered one of his family members hand to the family.

"Take her away!" Larfal shouted.

-In the jail beneath the castle-

Raven sits on the "bed" that they gave her which was nothing more than a slab of wood in the wall. Raven was thinking what would she do with life if she could get out of here. She didn't managed to get anything. Her godfather couldn't help her, nor her sister as she could get in an even bigger drama than hers. She scoffed it was just her luck, but she was somewhat happy that her family's most protected valuables were managed to be saved. The jewerly with her sister as was the families custom, while the combat manuals remained with her or with her godparents for the time being.

She heard the guard stand up and leave when the next shift arrived. she sighed, at least they don't have to be here in bloody clothes.

The guard looked at her with pity and turned around.

"Princess you can come out now"

Raven's head snapped up and her eyes met Riveria's. She didn't expect her to be here, for she quessed the king would make it as small as possible and tell the people the "tragedy" and that she ran.

"Hey, I'm sorry, I heard what happened" Riveria heard what happened from the soldiers that went by her room. The soldiers know Raven as she usually hang out with Riveria and they said to her that she was being framed for killing her parents and the soldiers that were there on a "patrol".

"Thanks... But you can't do anything... It's just just too much..." Raven said hanging her head low. Riveria didn't see the girl that she was before. The strong, brave girl that even dared going outside the forest in broad daylight, ofcourse she went with Raven. Now she only saw a broken girl suffering from the loss of parents and the blood on her hands that was still there. Nobody cared to clean her friend or at least give her clean clothes.

Riveria could only sigh as she went inside to her to clean her and hug her as closely as she could. Raven for the first time in 12 years cried as it all weight down on her.

"I heard that they will exile you for your "crimes". I talked with the driver that will take you to the outside of the forest and gave him a bag for you. It was the only thing I could do for you. Hopefully we will meet each other again in the future" Riveria smiled at her. Raven managed to get out a small thankful teary smile.

"Thanks" Raven said.

"Try to get some sleep alright?" Riveria turned around and waved.

-In the cart that was taking her outside of the forest-

She sighed, she had been doing that a lot recently. Just as she quessed they made a quick judgement and sent her to exile. She was lucky as Riveria managed to get some more trough her father. Like how she was allowed to follow her to the edge of the forest with her personal bodyguard and that the driver was his godfather and his cart.

Outside Riveria could only look at her with sad eyes. She managed to get this much to give to her bestfriend. If only she could follow her outside, but she knew that is not possible as of right now.

"When you can try to send letters, maybe we can communicate then" Riveria said to Raven. She nodded.

"I will try but I don't know what I will do" Raven said back with a small smile.

"Well, you can explore, that we planned to do together. Oh it looks like we are here"

The bodyguard led Raven outside, taken off her bindings and gave her the bag that had all her supplies, books, the manuals and the sword. Raven hughed and said goodbye to her friend and godfather. and they went apart.

Later Raven stood on a cliff side with new clothes, the older ones packed away in a box. She looked on the horizon. Her first point to travel is the far east if the news didn't reached the ears of the people in Zolingham. But before she started on her journey she looked back towards the place that she called home for 14 close to 15 years of her life.

"Well here goes nothing." With that said she went to the unknown-
