2 weeks passed since her encounter with a member of the Zeus familia. She wanted to get away as fast as possible. They made record distance, the same distantce that they made to Zolingham (She headed towards Asheina Forest touching Karuna and turned towards Zolingham)

But it seems that her luck ran out as she was recognised at Sharm just as she managed to resupply. She hightaled out of there. They just managed to escape the chasers and the Alf riders that were blocking her way shorter by going to Ryumilua Forest from the north. She went west then in a wide arc turned east.

In a small village she resupplied for the last time before meeting her sister Rose Solas now known as Rose Lion. Her parents liked to name them after plants and animals. Her sister after her mother's favorite flower which was blooming at the time of her birth. And herself after the bird of the dark, the ravens are sometimes confused with the crows. The choice of her name was because it was as dark as the night at the time of her birth during noon with a high number of ravens around the house.

The strange thing was that when she was born a streak of light came through the clouds and lighted up the house. It was called a miracle, but also a curse that reflected in her hair in the black highlights.

Materia was starting to fall behind so Raven choose the rest for today.

"I'm sorry that we need to run, but otherwise it could become very dangerous for not just me but to you too." Raven said to them. During her time with the unicorns she understood why they were in a pack of only 2. They were sick, and they didn't have long to live. The others left them behind as out here there is only 1 thing survival of the fittest.

It wasn't the nicest way to find out the sickness as one day Materia collapsed while blood was coming out of her mouth, soon followed by Alfia. They didn't moved that week so they could recover. She used one of the elven magic made for diagnostics. She wasn't good at it but she was grateful that her mother taught it to her.

She hoped that the unicorns would live for a long time, but she had a feeling that it wouldn't be long that they passed on to the eternal fields. She will miss them as she have grown fond of them. The time they spent together will never be forgotten by her. Knowing that she would not experience Materia's smile and joyful nature along with Alfia's grumpiness which she still didn't figured out why is she behaving that way and will never find out.

------Later near the border of Ryumilua Forest------

It came sooner than she expected. All she could do is to give them the comfort in their final moments nothing more nothing less. With her hands she was smoothing their fur as they rested their heads on her lap. Alfia talked with Materia as she nodded and turned towards her and dropped their horns in her hand. It was extremly rare that they dropped their horns willingly. Raven knew this was a farewell gift from them. She had tears in her eyes as she knew the meaning for this. They gave up their most important thing to her as they trusted her that much. Not soon after they turned to ash.

She decided that she is going to take their ashes and bury them in Ryumilua Forest. She collected as much as she could and put it into an urn that she purchased from Sharm.

She looked at the horns that were given to her. She opened her pack and picked out a box made from mithril to give it strength and lightness, but she wasn't sure what to do about it's ability to channel magic. Perhaps a safety feature? She opened it with the key around her neck. Inside were 4 combat manuals, 1 scroll with ancient magics from a 1000 years ago made by Celdia Ljos Alf, a high elf that died with Albert Waldstein and Lyeecia Solas. Nobody knows what this scroll contains as they couldn't open it. She put the horns next to the last object in her box. A thick book called Dungeon Oratoria, it had yellow pages as it was one of the oldest books belonging to the Solas family. It was started by Ryuulu, the great poet and she draw a family tree in it, but it only contained the "main" family, those who had the Solas name.
