I hate to admit it, I really do, but I had a good time.

It was akward at first, for me at least, but I was quickly forced into a conversation with him, since he constantly asked questions about everything.

And turns out, Sapnap was great company!

Looking past his little habit of constantly hitting my arm just a bit too harshly of course.
He didn't seem like a bully in any way when we talked, he just seemed like a normal guy my age.

But he wasn't

A small voice in my head kept trying to remind me.

He's that very same guy that has made you break down into tears multiple times.

The same guy that has almost made you drop out!

As it continued blabbing, I continued ignoring it.

Everyone deserves a second chance, right? Even Sapnap. I don't know if I'm crazy, but it seemed like he had put it in the past already.

And as we sat on my bed and played minecraft, I did as well.

"NO. Nah-uh, NOT fair. I wasn't even prepared!"

The ravenette screeched as a herd of zombies barged into his poorly build house.
I giggled at his childish way of playing, offering a hand by asking if I should come and kill them.

"I'm good, I'm- EAAGH' he screamed, as the zombies began attacking him.

He shouted and cursed in his panic, killing the zombies left and right and only barely escaping with half a heart.

"Oh my god Karl, pleasecomehelpmei'mdyingohmygodhelp"

I laughed as he rushed his words out, clearly needing my assistance.
I turned my character in his direction, and ran over to help him build up a better house.

"Y'know," Sapnap began, "this game sucks. Let's turn it off."
He threw the controller across the bed and laid down flat on his back.

I rolled my eyes, thinking it was dumb to quit playing because of a couple of zombies, but turned it off anyways, and joined him in laying down.
I rolled onto my side to look at Sapnaps face.

It felt strangely... calm.

He didn't look aggressive, annoyed, or upset in any kind of way.
He just looked peaceful, and it might have been my brain tricking me, but maybe even happy.

His face was painted with a soft expression, and his mouth formed in a slight smile.
My eyes took it all in, moving from his forehead.. to his eyes.. to his nose.. to his lips (where my gaze lingered for a bit)
to his chin, and then his neck.. and then-

Wait, what was that?
My eyes shot back up to his neck.

Was that.. more bruises??

At this point, it couldn't be hickeys, right?
I was pretty sure Sapnap wasn't that much of a whore.

(A/N: I'm not saying you're a whore for sleeping around, pls don't come at me.😭
This is just a part of the fic, not my opinion.)

Besides, these looked new..
Who could he possibly hook up with when everyone was at school or work?
Unless..
My brain started racing to find another possibility, but none came up.
There was only one that made sense.
I gasped quietly, my eye widening as the realisation struck me.
I thought about it for a bit, and the puzzle pieces slowly came together.
This would explain it all.
That was why he always hit others.
That was why he was never able to figure out how to be nice and treat others with respect.
Probably also why he was so mad all of the time, and never able to communicate what he wanted in other ways than with violence.
Sapnap wasn't evil.
