There was a carnival being held by the form six students to raise funds for cancer patients at hospitals and Roman decided to take Rose since she has never been to one.
There was music playing everywhere, dances taking place in the street games and rides and people wearing special clothes for entertainment.
There was one ride that caught Rose's attention. It was the ferris wheel. Her blue green grey eyes gazed up at it in fascination. It was the largest modern ferris wheel. Cars were mounted on the outside of the rim with electric motors independently to keep each car upright.
All around the ferris wheel were lights. They were alluring. The colors were like the rainbow and it went well with the sunset.
After being safely buckled up Rose grabbed Roman's hand to feel extra safe. When the ferris wheel reached at the top it got stuck. But the cliche happened.
With an unwavering gaze, they both watched on as a fiery red orb of light slowly sank beneath the horizon and threads of light lingered in the sky mingling with the rolling clouds, dyeing the heavens first orange, then red, then dark blue, until all was left of the sunset was a chalky mauve that melted away and turned as stygian darkness took over the sky.
And in that moment they wanted to kiss each other senselessly.
As if sensing one another's thoughts they both turned to gaze at each other. Within a heartbeat Roman's lips were pressed against hers. His kiss awoke every atom in her body and exhausted the stars within her. In the moonlight the both seasoned each other's kiss.
It was Rose's first kiss.
