Luna'pov:

i grabbed my bag and headed off the train.I walked out of the doors and stepped onto the ground. As I turned around, I felt a body crash into mine, certainly bruising my shoulder. "Hey! Watch where you're going you prat!" A deep voice yelled. My ears fumed as I turned around, meeting a pair of the most gorgeous light brown eyes. His eyes widened as he saw me, and his mouth slightly parted. "How about you watch where you're going!" I said, shoving him backwards and shooting him a death glare. He gasped, but I certainly did not regret what I did. "let's go luna we are going to be late for the ceremony" sia shouted as she and mione waited for me.
The Sorting Hat ceremony in the Great Hall was both exhilarating and nerve-wracking. i couldn't help but clutch the letter in my pocket, secretly hoping that the hat would fulfill my lifelong dream of becoming a Gryffindor. i watched as my new friends were sorted one by one into their respective houses - Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Gryffindor. sia got sorted into Gryffindor so did mione which made me relieved that we will all be together in the same house. Then, it was my turn. i approached the stool, placed the Sorting Hat on my head, and closed my eyes. i could feel its ancient presence in her mind, hearing its whispered thoughts. Gryffindor, Gryffindor, i chanted inwardly, as if sheer determination could sway the hat's decision. But when the hat finally spoke, its voice rang out for the entire hall to hear. "SLYTHERIN!" i felt my heart sink as the emerald banner unfurled above me. Slytherin? That wasn't what i had hoped for. i glanced over at my friends, who were waving enthusiastically from the Gryffindor table. None of them were with me in Slytherin.
As i took my seat at the Slytherin table, i couldn't shake the unease that had settled in my chest. i wondered if i made a mistake, if i truly belonged here.
My gaze drifted out of the ornate windows, the moonlight casting an ethereal glow across the darkened grounds of the castle. i idly traced the patterns on my plate with my fork, thoughts drifting far away from the conversations and laughter of my housemates.
But then, as if a shiver had run down my spine, i became acutely aware of someone's eyes upon me. Slowly, i turned my head, as my hair fell gently across my shoulders. There, at the opposite end of the Slytherin table, sat the boy i bumped into earlier. His piercing, intelligent eyes bore into me, unnerving me in a way i had never experienced before. his name was tom, he was known for his exceptional talent in the dark arts, his charisma, and an enigmatic aura that drew people towards him. He was the embodiment of Slytherin ambition, his future bright with promise. Many whispered that he would be one of the greatest wizards of their time, though the rumors of his involvement in questionable activities were just as prevalent. As i locked eyes with Tom, a chill ran down my spine. I couldn't help but feel that he saw through the layers of my thoughts, that he understood something about me that i didn't even comprehend myself. It was as though he had the power to plumb the depths of my soul with just a gaze. A shiver crept up my spine, and i quickly averted my gaze, my heart racing.
The intensity of Tom Riddle's stare was like a riddle in itself, one i wasn't sure i wanted to solve. Yet, in that moment, i couldn't deny the pull, the inexplicable connection that seemed to have formed between us. As the night wore on and the feast continued, i couldn't shake the feeling that this encounter with Tom Riddle was just the beginning of something much larger, something that would change the course of my life forever.
