It was hot.
Too hot.
Rain felt like he was gonna pass out. They had been in uniform all day performing and it was about 102 degrees. Rain was probably the only one of them that couldn't handle the heat AT ALL. Swiss was kinda sweaty, mountain was DRENCHED. LIKE COMPLETELY FUCKING DRENCHED. HE HAD TO CHANGE UNIFORMS TWICE. Of course Sodo was having a fine time.
The Cannon of mummy dust money snapped rain from his thoughts. He was hyperventilating, his vision fading in and out. He tried his hardest to focus on strumming on his bass, messing up a bit when he bumped into sodo. "S-sorry.." he said breathily. Sodo made a confused offended gesture as a joke but quickly stopped when he realized the water ghouls state. He used he free hand when he didn't have any frets to press to pull rain towards the back of the stage. "Rain, you okay?" Sodo asked, pulling down his balaclava so he could speak. "M-m yeah I'm fine.." He mumbled through his balaclava, starting to sway a bit. Rains helmet felt to heavy for him. Everything did. Everything started fading in and out for Rain. He heard sodo say something, but it all fell silent as he blacked out.
"SHIT!!" Sodo yelled, immediately gesturing everyone backstage that was available to come help him. He could hear some commotion about the bass and main guitar being gone in the middle of the song but he didn't care. He needed rain to be okay. As some workers pulled rain backstage sodo ran with them, immediately taking off his guitar and helmet. They put Rain in his room with the AC on, leaving sodo to do everything else that they were forbid from doing.
Sodo kneeled down next to Rain, who was laying on the couch in his dressing room. Sodo took off a bunch of layers, about to take off his shirt before he could hear copia banging at the door and yelling some questions or words of worry. Sodo simply replied with a little 'we're fine' and went back to undressing Rain. In the end Rain was left in nothing besides his pants.
Sodo went into the bathroom and turned on the tub, filling it with room temperature water. He went back into the main room to see Rain awake, trying to sit up. "Lay down." Sodo said sternly, clearly scaring Rain a bit which was visible by his little jump when sodo spoke. "B-but.. what happened?" He muttered, his voice a little raspy from his throat being dry. Rain was a little panicked not knowing what happened in his and how he ended in his unglamoured form. "You blacked out. I didn't know the heat did this to you" he tried joking, trying to make rain calm down. Meanwhile he had went over to the ice machine and filled a bowl with ice. "I'm making you a small ice bath."
"Sodo I'm fine-" He was cut off by sodo. "You don't have a choice. You're getting in the bath" He said loud enough Rain could hear him from the bathroom. You could hear the splash of the ice hitting the water and the sound of the water faucet stopping. Rain mumbled a reply and laid back down.
"You can't be doing these things to yourself.." Sodo mumbled, moving and picking Rain up bridal style to bring him to the bathroom. He gently placed Rain in the tub. As Rain relaxed into the water, his gills started to perk up. He almost immediately sunk under the water. Sodo sighed and sat next to him in the bathroom.
He knew the others would be worried about them, but he just wanted Rain to be okay.
