Jake stares at Drew for a moment.
"Spill." Jake murmurs, keeping his gaze on the shorter boy infront of him.
"Jake..." Drew mutters quietly.
"Speak up. I can't hear you. If you want to tell me something, tell me."
"Look, Jake. I'm sorry... I really, truly am. I called you a freak... I treated you like shit... I manipulated you. I'm so so sorry." Drew says with a guilty Glace at Jake's face.
"Pfft-" Jake wheezes for a moment. "You? The Drew? Sorry? That's rich." Jake starts to laugh.
"What... is so funny?" Drew mumbles.
"The fact that you expect this bare minimum, effortless, lazy apology to work. Drew, work on your ability to communicate with human beings and then work on that empathy and sympathy aspect of things. Got it? Then maybe... just maybe... I'll reconsider. It's a 1 out of 300 chance." Jake keeps laughing.
"Jake! No...! Wait-!" Drew says, grabbing Jake's arm. Jake yanks his arm out of the boy's grasp and scoffs. He hated being rude, but Drew was honestly an accepting.
"Jake... I really am sorry!" Drew says, a little louder than the last sorry he uttered.
"I don't want to hear it, you liar. You prick." Jake rolls his eyes and starts to walk away.
"Jake...!"
"Go away, dickwad."
"Wait no, please-!"
"I said... leave me alone!" Jake shouts, causing the nearest tables in the cafeteria to all go quiet and turn toward him and Drew. Jake stomps away, his fists clenched. He hastily rushes through the lunch line and gets his food before sitting down st his usual table, Sean shows up a few moments later.
"Everyone is talking about you, love," Sean says softly.
"It's Drew. It's always Drew. Whenever I'm having a good day, Drew ruins it..'' Jake mumbles. He knew he sounded a little... toxic... right now, but he needed to say something to keep himself from just screaming.
"Well then... let me be the one to always un-ruin your day," Sean responds, taking Jake's hand and kissing it.
