After yesterday's weird incident in my new mystery hangout, I ventured off elsewhere and did end up finding my drill bit. It was on the floor in Fazer Blast, as I suspected.I happily stuffed the tool into my pocket and made my way down the stairs to Roxy's Raceway.
"Hey (Y/N), find what you were looking for?" Your boss, Rachel passed you and flashed you a smile. You returned the gesture and pulled the bit from the depths of your pocket.
"Yep! Thanks for asking- and also thanks for telling me where Fazer Blast was again...I got a little lost looking for it yesterday," you said, sheepishly rubbing your neck.
"It's no problem, (Y/N). Let me know if you need anything else, I'll be around," She waved you off and you thought about asking her about yesterday.
"Oh! Hey Rach-"
"Miss (Y/N)! What a pleasant surprise!" Freddy's optimistic and fatherly timbre interrupted your chance to speak to your boss about the bunny.
"Hey Freddy, where are you off to?" You planted your hands on your hips and he smiled, eyes closing.
"I am currently in route to the main stage where the band and I will be performing our last song of the day. Would you care to join me?"
"Sorry, fredman, but I can't. I have to go do safety checks on all of Roxy's cars to make sure they're all good for tomorrow. Maybe another time?" You walked around Freddy and continued on your path, respectfully declining his invitation.
"Of course! Then I shall see you the next time you're available!" He waved and disappeared from your sights shortly after.
He's so nice...I wish people like Freddy actually existed.
You sighed and slumped your shoulders, putting your earbuds in your ears.
You liked to listen to music while you worked sometimes. It calmed your nerves and helped you think.
Tonight you were scheduled a little after closing just to do safety checkups on select attractions and animatronics. These nights typically went smoothly for you, you were pretty confident in what you did.
Roxy's Raceway was completely empty. The remaining guests were either getting ready to leave or watching the band's performance before going home.
Your mind started to wander as you started to get into the rhythm of tightening and airing up the tires.
I wonder what Monty meant by he'd get me back for putting that band aid sticker on him...
You snickered.
I knew he wouldn't appreciate them, but I have a feeling Chica will. She's sweet, but I hardly have her for big repairs like that. She only ever needs the occasional cleaning and touch-up...unlike Monty who's always busting fuses.
You rolled your eyes and moved to the next cart.
Freddy doesn't really get busted up either...Roxy does, though. The only thing she cares about being in-tact is her hair. I get that her attraction is all about being rough, but I warned her about getting dents and how it messes with her appearance. All she did was scoff and tell me I'm just jealous.
The next car seemed fine; you gently plucked the purple helmet from its seat to put it with the others. As you were walking to the helmet's container, you looked at your reflection on the top it.
A flashback from yesterday and seeing the bunny's damaged arm popped in your head. You bit the inside of your cheek, tossing the safety equipment where it belongs.
