Chica and I walked back to her green room after we heard something in Bonnie Bowl. I could tell by the way she was talking and acting that she really did believe Bonnie had been deactivated.
I wonder if they were good friends?
"Sorry about the mess...I've been...stress eating," she admitted sheepishly. You stared in awe at the 20 something pizza boxes stacked on her coffee table.
"Woah...it's like the leaning tower of pizza," You were tempted to see if you could knock it over- but quickly decided against it. Chica tossed a few empty cans off of her couch and welcomed you to sit down. You pushed down any feelings of disgust and tried to reason with yourself.
"...so...about Monty?" You asked as you sat. Chica sat on the floor right in front of you and sighed.
"I'm not even sure how word got to him. Roxy swore she didn't say anything. She may be a lot of things...like conceited, self-absorbed, gorgeous- but she's definitely not a liar," Chica took off her earrings and leaned back on her elbows.
"Talking shit about me?" Roxanne entered the room right after Chica's comments, making her blush.
"Roxanne! U-uh, no! I would never do that!" Chica sat up straight and you smiled at her reaction. You've seen this painfully obvious type of behavior before.
Yes...that makes sense! Roxy, so busy being obsessed with herself she doesn't realize her best friend's unrequited love when it's right in front of her!
"Uh-huh. I know I heard my name, chicken. What are we gossipping about? How perfect I was on stage today? I finally let one of the new girls touch my hair. I'd say she did alright- but that wouldn't be very fitting of me," Roxy welcomed herself in and plopped down in a nearby loveseat.
"Chica was actually just saying how especially good you looked today, is all," You said, eagerly waiting to watch this unfold. Chica slowly turned her head to look at you with widened eyes. Roxy stopped checking her nails briefly to look up at you and then Chica.
"Really? I-I mean, of course. Why wouldn't she say that," She rolled her shoulders and crossed her arms over her abdomen in insecurity. Chica went to open her mouth and say something, but Roxy stopped her.
"A-Anyways, enough about me. I also heard you talk about Montgomery,"
"Yes, actually. How did you know that? These rooms are like...soundproof," You laughed. She cupped her ears in admiration.
"Are you underestimating me, (Y/N)? I can hear what's going on in the basement when I'm on the third floor," She bragged.
"Of course not, why would I do that?" You backed off and fed her insatiable ego.
"Monty knows," Chica interrupted. Roxy looked at her feathered friend, confused.
"He knows I have great hearing?"
"No, Roxy. He knows about (Y/N). He thinks she has a crush on him!" She blurted. Roxy blinked slowly and looked over to you.
"Ohhh, I see. That's why he's been acting like a freak. Boy am I glad to finally put a diagnosis on that one, he was starting to weird me out. More than usual," She shuddered.
"We need to fix this. I need to fix this...but I'm not sure how," Chica frowned and Roxanne looked sad as she gazed at her......friend.
"Look, i'm no expert on love and shit, but i've got some ideas we can try," Roxy was quick to save the day, hoping Chica would lighten up after hearing her solution. Chica lifted her head and smiled, rushing to her side. She grabbed Roxy's hands and held them in her own, eyes glistening with appreciation.
