𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 had been uneventful for the most part, like always. But it didn't take away that Ravenna was glad to be back at Hogwarts. She sat beside Regulus at the long table, Marcus Avery on her other side.
The latter had been talking her ear off about his trip to Paris during the summer. He turned towards her fully, a cocky smirk stretching over his lips. She could feel Barty's eyes on her from his place across the table. "Maybe you could join me sometime." Marcus offered, leaning closer.
"No." She denied curtly.
To her surprise, Marcus just grinned. "Haven't you heard what I've told you about the place? It's amazing." He stated.
Her eyes met Barty's for a moment and she knew he was laughing at the situation she found herself in. She turned towards Marcus with a stoic impression. "So I was supposed to be impressed?" She asked dryly.
Barty and Mulciber, who was sat next to the Crouch boy, laughed at her answer. And Marcus matched it. "I bet I could impress you in other ways." He told her with a smirk and playful wink. Ever since she knew him, Avery had always made suggestive comments, mostly because he enjoyed her dry and uninterested answers.
Her mind flashed to a certain someone but she pushed him away the second he appeared in her mind. "I doubt it." she answered, shooting him an overly fake smile.
She watched in disgust as he moved to throw an arm over her shoulder. He opened his mouth to answer with what was certainly a witty remark but before he could, Regulus had shoved his arm off her shoulder without a look in their direction.
Ravenna shot him a glance and felt the side of her mouth curl up in a smug smile. "Don't even try." Regulus said, speaking to Avery without even turning towards him.
Marcus rolled his eyes and held up his hands in mock surrender. But he didn't turn away before shooting her another wink which made her nose scrunch up in distaste. Marcus turned to Fredric Montague who sat on his other side which gave Ravenna room to breathe in another smell than overly sprayed cologne.
She turned towards Regulus and watched him shooting a few glances to somewhere behind Barty. She subtly followed his eyes and was met with the sight of Sirius Black throwing his head back in an obnoxious laugh. She could even hear him from where she sat. She looked back towards Regulus and saw him having changed his gaze towards her. They shared a look before turning towards Evan as he spoke up. "I wonder if the new sod is any fun." he told them, shooting a look towards their new defends against the dark arts teacher who sat next to professor Mcgonagall. She seemed alright to Ravenna. She recalled her name was professor Graving. She'd never heard of her but in comparison to their last professor, she couldn't be worse.
