(Y/N) POV
The school dance was coming up which meant girls where moping around waiting for there crush to ask them to the dance while boys where nervous trying to figure out how to ask there crush to the dance.
Usually every year Trent ask me to the dance and each year I say no but since every one around school knows Trent has a thing for me no one else ask me to the dance scared of what Trent would do if I said yes to one of them.
Which leads to me going to the dance alone every year but Leo goes to the dances alone as well so we just enjoy our time together. Bree and I were walking out of class whenever we heard the boys talking "Are you guys talking about the dance too? Why is everybody making such a big deal out of this stupid dance? Bree ask
Chase starts to smile and shakes his head "Nobody's asked you yet, have they?"
"No! I really wanna go with that guy. His name is Ethan. We sit next to each other in chemistry. Coincidence? I think not. Chemistry! What should I do?" Bree sighs and sings out with a big smile on her face.
"I got this." Chase walks in front of us and moves some hair behind his ear
"He's talking about a girl he thinks is cute" He then turns over with a shiver "Ew! He's talking about you! He's coming over here right now to ask you to the dance."
"What?! No! Now? Why? Really?" Ethan starts to walks over to us
"How's it going?" Ethan says to Bree
"Ethan! What a huge surprise! To see you here, for reasons we do not know." I elbow Chase to get him to stop talking
"Hi, Ethan! How... uh, you know... we... uh, you know... decided... What is that over there?" Bree points in another direction and super speeds away
Ethan turns back towards us "Where'd she go?"
Adam starts to get awkward "Uh, more importantly, what is that over there?" Adam points in another direction and the boys and I then run off into different directions.

After school I was in the living room thinking to myself, my head resting on the arm rest of the couch my body relax while the tv was on whenever Chase came into the room "Hey there you are"
I turn my head over towards him and off the tv "Yes, here I am" I sit up letting my feet hit the ground as I pat the cushion next to me "What can I do for you"
Chase walks over and sits down then looks at me nervously "I was wondering what you plans for the dance was. Cause I was thinking if you don't have any we could go together since I don't have a date"
I shrug my shoulder not picking up on what Chase was putting down "I'm not sure on the whole friends date again this year, i'll probably stay home. I've dance enough with Leo each year that can hold me over for this year."
I catch a hint of sadness in Chase's eyes "Oh" he clears his throat "Yeah I get it"
"I'm sorry did I miss something?" I ask oblivious still to what he was trying to do earlier
Shaking his head Chase stands up quickly "No, uh I gotta go help Leo with something"
"Oh okay" I say as he hurries off

Walking down the hallway the next day I spot Chase only to see Adam is on the floor with the lockers on top of him when two boys walk over and try to help "Um? do I want to know?" I ask Chase
"We're trying to help Leo get a date with Danielle to the dance" Chase turns to look over my shoulder "Ooh! They're coming! Commence phase one of Operation Lady For Leo." Chase then pulls me aside so we keep a distance.
