It was a partly cloudy afternoon in Sodor, Thomas was pulling Annie and Clarebelle as he arrived at Knapford station. As he was waiting for his coaches to empty out he noticed Silvia, Sir Topham Hatt's assistant, looking worried as if she was waiting for someone.
Thomas: Hello Miss Silvia, is something wrong?
Silvia: *turns to him* No, not at all, Thomas. It's just Sir got a call about Two new engines coming here to help temporarily. The call came from someone who goes by the name of Jacob Darkwood.
Thomas gasped, he remembered that last name.
Thomas: Darkwood! Last time I heard that name it was from Marcus Darkwood, the Controller from Araheart.
Saliva: Yes, You are correct. It is the same Darkwood. But Jacob is nothing like Marcus, Jacob changed his last name to Clearlight and he also claimed to be Marcus' son during the call. Jacob is a kind, and caring gentleman, and he took over the business when his father finally got arrested for mistreatment of Araheart's engines.
Thomas let out a sigh of relief, but he was still worried. Violet was taken back to Araheart months ago due to her being blackmailed. So she had to return for the safety of her friends. Everyone on Sodor missed her, and all they could do was worry if she faced the inevitable. Of course, they came to realize that Violet wouldn't want them to worry, so they continued their work as normal.
Silvia: Thomas... I miss her too, we all do.
Annie: She was a great engine.
Clarabelle: And very kind, too.
Thomas: I know, I know. But it's hard. I just wish she comes back.
They stay in silence for a moment.
Silvia: You're done with your job, so you can rest up.
Thomas: *whistles* Yes, Ma'am. (puffs away to put Annie and Clarabelle on a siding)
As Thomas was being uncoupled from his coaches, he heard a voice he doesn't remember, in the distance.
???: Hi, excuse me. Do you know where Knapford is?
Percy: This is Knapford.
Thomas Chuffs over to where Percy is and sees him talking to an engine with a Midnight blue color scheme. The engine sees Thomas approaching.
???: Oh hello, little blue engine.
Thomas: Oh, Hello! You must be one of the new engines Miss Silvia was talking about.
Engine: Yes I am! I also came here with another engine, but she was taking too long so I puffed off when I got bored of waiting. She is bound to be around this island somewhere, but I bet she got lost, or something when trying to find me.
???: THOMAS!
Thomas gasped, he remembered that voice, then he heard a familiar whistle. He looked behind the midnight blue engine to see a familiar engine...
Thomas: VIOLET?!
Violet was chuffing as fast as she could go, she glowed light purple and turned human running toward the engines. Thomas and Percy chuffed over turning into humans themselves, Percy had a head start and jumps on her and hugs her, she returns the hug spinning him around and Thomas hugs her tightly.
Violet: I'm so happy to see you guys again.
Percy: So are we!
The two little engines are overjoyed to see their old friend, Percy shedding a few silent tears and Thomas tightening his grip on Violet. The silence is broken by the engine.
Midnight Blue engine: So i'm assuming you already know each other?
Thomas: We do, and-
Violet: Alya! I was looking for you. Why did you run off once we got dropped off at the docks?
Ayla: Well, you were taking too long since you were talking with some diesel engine and I was bored of waiting for you so...
Violet: He was a friend of mine, so I had to catch up with him.
The little engine's loosen their grip on their friend, looking at the engine and their friend.
Percy: Do you two know each other?
Violet walks up to the Midnight blue engine, Thomas and Percy follow behind, the former putting his hands in his hoodie pockets while the latter is adjusting his mail bag.
Violet: Yes, I do. Thomas, Percy, This is my Sister, Ayla.
Ayla: Wait. These two are Thomas and Percy?
Thomas and Percy look at each other then back at Ayla, confused.
Ayla: Oh! I'm so silly, I should've known. Violet has told me all about you two when she came back to Araheart, well mostly you Thomas.
Thomas: (surprised) Me?
Ayla: Mmhm, my little sister told me all the adventures that you two went on together. Escaping the Steelworks, The Great Railway Show, Helping an old engine, stopping someone from stealing treasure, and many more.
Thomas: Well, Violet was the one who did the "Helping an old engine" on her own, me and my friends just helped her.
Violet: *crosses her arms* Hiro wouldn't be here puffing any steam if you and your friends didn't help. I wouldn't be able to do this on my own if I knew I needed your help.
Thomas gave her a 'good point' look and shrugged his shoulders, hands still in his pockets.
Percy: Also, Did you call Violet, 'Little Sister'?
Violet: (sighs heavily) Ayla....I'm not little anymore! And stop calling me that!
Ayla: Nope, I haven't seen you in many months. And no matter what you do, you're still my little sister.
Violet: (Mumbling) Now I know how Gordon feels with Flying Scottsman since their brothers.
Thomas and Percy laughed at her complaining.
Alya: Who?
Thomas: *shrugs shoulders* Eh, you'll meet him eventually.
Violet: Anyway's... Thomas will take you to Sir Topham Hatt, Sister.
Thomas: Okay, anything for an old friend.
Thomas goes onto the railways and turns back into an engine, the other two follow suit, Ayla looking at them as if her eyes did not deceive her.
Ayla: Also, how do you guys do that?
Percy: The switching between forms?
Violet: It's how this island kind of works, the engines that belong in Sodor are able to have the ability to switch between engine and human. It's like magic, it took me a lot of time to get my human form and get used to this since i was new here at the time.
Ayla: So when do I get the chance?
Edward: *puffs over* You don't just get the magic, you'll have to wait for it to come to you.
Violet: Great to see you again, Edward.
Edward: Same to you, old friend. Who is this?
Violet: Edward this is my Sister, Ayla. Ayla, Edward.
Ayla: Nice to meet you.
Edward whistles in response to her greet, as he puffs away.
