Chapter Ten

The whole place was tensed,with unspoken words hanging in the air giving out a chilly atmosphere.

" All of these charges on you?, This is outrageous", Mayor skylyn blurted out unbelievably, dropping her tab on the table noisily.

" What is your stand now senator? ", Governor Ellish spoke for the first time since they all gathered in the Senate house.

Immediately the news of all charges pressed on senator Fabian and the worst of atrocities that he has committed was all over the internet, he made a quick alert to assemble at the senate building.

" Senator ", he called out his name  again when he made no move in answering his last question.

Senator Fabian looked up to him, his demeanor soft and calm but the tension and fear could be easily seen roaming on his eyes.

" Murder, drug trafficking, woman and child trafficking, money laundering, bribery, Illegal arms trafficking, and so many more that I can't remember of.
What is happening? Why are all of these roaming around the internet?..", Governor Ellish queried, his voice stoic and demanding.

He still kept mute .

" Senator Fabian", governor Ellish gritted in irritation.

" I have contacted my lawyer", he answered simply . Ellish scoffed.

" Do you think getting out of all this will be easy? Is all of it true or not? ",
Just then the telephone beeped out loudly.

Governor Ellish picked it up, as soon as he placed it on his ear the door banged open taking all of them by suprise.
It is the police.

Each and every one of the politician stood on their feet immediately, as well as Fabian.

" Senator Fabian, From the police district", a man dressed in suit said, raising up his ID.

" You are under arrest for bribery and corruption, Money laundering, child and woman trafficking, drug trafficking, illegal arm trafficking, kidnapping, murder and so on.
You have the  right to remain silent, anything you say or do will be use against you at the court of Law " , theman who is the leader of the crew chanted the Miranda right.

Without wasting much time,two Police officers made their way towards him. Clamping the handcuff into his hands.

Murmurings filled the air immediately as all the scenarios took place.
Senator Fabian didn't utter a single word even as they apprehend him .
But the dejected look on his face could not be missed.

As they manhandled him out of the area, his last words was.

" Call Adrian Alexander", he instructed firmly before they dragged him out like a criminal he is.

Seated at the middle of the living room is Arianna sipping her teas slowly as she feed her eyes with the latest and spiciest news in town ....or should it be the trending news in whole of America
I think that we do.

At that juncture, Arianna knows she has buckle her belt very well and much tighter.
She herself knows the people she is dealing with.
Going through all the atrocious crimes he has committed, she need no one to tell her what she is into.

Not like she is scared or anything, let's say her getting her hands on those strong evidences even made her so much more determined.

Arresting him is just a minor work, but sending him to where he should be is the ultimate.
He deserves to rot in hell.

As Arianna enjoyed the show of how Senator was ushered out of the Senate house handcuffed, she  noticed a faint footsteps behind her .

" Love ", She called out immediately she saw it was him

He was just getting out of work, as he was still on his work attire.

" Welcome", Arianna greeted warmly a heartfelt smile.

She walked straight into his arms for a hug.

" I was surprised when I saw your car outside, Free today?", He joked as he patted on her hair lovingly, then he placed a wet  kiss on her forehead.

"Mmmn, no much work to do today", she replied as she took off his jacket.

" How come I don't know ", Richard said with a slight frown.

" I know so , that is why I didn't say a word. I love to stay indoors today",

" Then too bad love, now that you are here you will be going with me to golfing with Andrew," Richard said and she laughed.

" Okay, so right now?? ", She asked and he nodded

" Yes, but let's change first "
