The warmth that emanated from Derek's solid core beckoned me to slumber, making it nearly impossible to keep my eyes ajar. "Hey, stay awake," Derek cood, shrugging my head with his shoulder to keep me from dozing off, "don't want you to drown in the tub." Before I could react, Derek slowly lowered me into the ginormous bathtub, already filled with warm, welcoming water and a generous vail of suds. Relief immediately washed across my aching muscles as I settled into the bath, drawing out the tension from my stiff shoulders and bruised thighs. "Wait here a sec," Derek said as soon as he saw me settle in the tub, strutting out of the room without another word. I took the time alone to dip my head under water, soaking my hair and relishing in the amazing feeling of warmth against my scalp. With how this day started, it almost felt that comfort like this was impossible. But here I was, relaxing in this beautiful tub, this beautiful bathroom, with Derek's attitude back to the way I've come to adore. Like nothing ever happened. My thoughts were interrupted as Derek returned through the doorway, his collection of rolling supplies gathered in his arms. Setting the tray on the sink, Derek sat upon the toilet seat, immediately rolling a sizable joint between his fingers. In a flash, he was done, surprisingly quick to bring the newly lit cigarette to my mouth. I puffed on it greedily, nearly making me cough with how fast I inhaled smoke. "Easy now", Derek hummed, returning to his spot to make his own joint. As expected, we both sat in silence as we smoked, the only sound filling the room being the light taps of ash as it fell to the tile floor. Resting my head on the ledge, I inevitably found myself ogling in Derek's direction. He made no attempt to leave, or even pursue his own tasks, seemingly content with quietly sitting with me despite it not being convenient to rest in this space. But he didn't seem calm. Not annoyed, but far from peaceful, hunched forward with his elbows perched on his thighs, sternly thinking about god knows what. His gaze raised slightly, meeting my eyes in a way that used to make me nervous, but I felt none of that now, letting myself be drawn into his mesmerizing eyes. "I knew he was coming to town," Derek finally mumbled, holding the filter between his lips as he spoke, "and...I knew he was fighting a lot with his wife. Like, a lot more than usual." He shifted slightly, taking in a deep breath as he continued. "But I never thought that he would...do something like this. He has secretaries and escorts when he needs to let off steam. It's not like him to stray from his usual." He paused for a second, taking a deep puff before opening up again. "If I thought he would, I would have put some extra measures so that he...wouldn't bother you." As I took in his vague words and solemne expression, I began to understand just what he was trying to say. In his own way, Derek was claiming some of the blame for what happened today, borderline apologizing. "You couldn't have known, so...it's ok" I affirmed, not knowing what else to say. Derek stared at me in a way I couldn't pin down, before stalking over to the edge of the tub. I questioned his actions, but when he wordlessly went to run his fingers through my hair, I instantly melted at his touch. "How do you know exactly what to say?" he praised, the corners of his mouth rising to form a light smile. I returned his smile with my own, leaning into his palm as it fondled my head. In a flash, Derek's face went completely blank, and for a second I felt a pang of anxiety as to what he was thinking. But that washed away immediately as I saw him become very excited, grinning from ear to ear. "Oh my god! I just got the best idea!" he exclaimed, practically running out of the room as he left. "W-what are you-" Before I could finish, his voice echoed from the other room. "Just hurry up and get in here!" Despite my confusion, I quickly scrubbed my body of all its caked fluids, and grabbed the biggest towel of the bunch.

With a towel wrapped around my waist, I peeked through the bathroom door, seeing that Derek was typing away on his laptop, sprawled upon the duvet of his bed. Tiptoeing across the cold tile floor, I scurried to his side, pulling the covers around my naked skin to shield me from the cold air. "You ever seen 'Mad Max'?" Derek asked, barely lifting his gaze from the keyboard. "'Fury Road'? Yeah, I've seen it a few times. Why?" I questioned. I leaned in to get a glimpse of the screen, but the explicit photos of models in BDSM gear that littered every corner made me even more confused. "Ok, so remember how those hot girls had these panty cage things?" "Do you mean...a chastity belt?" "Bingo!" Setting the computer on my lap, my cheeks immediately flushed as my gaze filled with nude women wearing metal and leather gear. "I wanna get you one, so when I'm out, you'll be all secure and stuff" Derek explained, beaming with pride at his 'mind blowing' idea. "God, these are scary..." I mumbled to myself, scrolling through the options. There seemed to be so many of them, mostly with aesthetics in mind rather than practicality. There are ones with sharpened spikes covering the crotch, ones with clear sections to give your partner a full view of your concealed genitals, and even ones for men who want to contort their penises to a fraction of the size, each one of them looking less comfortable than the last. But to my surprise, I came across a simpler, faux leather belt, with velvet lining the insides for a softer experience. Clicking the product, I read through the description and the numerous positive reviews, and found myself getting excited to try it out. "Can I get this one?" I asked, bringing Derek's attention to the screen. "It's a bit plain..." he grumbled, but his eyes lit up as he noticed one photo, "hold on...it comes in red~" "So can I get this one?" "Yeah, add it to the cart. Throw in some stuff you want while you're at it." "Thank you, Derek ♡" I gushed, browsing through the hundreds of adult products I could choose from. In the end, I grabbed an anal relaxent, several flavors of edible lube, body chocolate, and a costume kit to use later on. "Don't look in the cart," I mentioned as I passed the laptop back to Derek to pay, "I got something I want to surprise you with." "Ooooh, can't wait" he smirked, puting the order through without a second thought, barely looking at the total. "I also thought of something else to get you...just in case." Pulling up another page, Derek shifted closer to me so I could see his screen. At a first glance, it seemed like a typical jewelry site. But as I looked closer, words such as 'security', 'discrete', and 'strongest connection' peppered the lines of text, and I no longer felt sure of myself. "What's this?" I finally questioned. "This is a brand of panic button that everyone at my level uses in case of emergencies. They design their products to look exactly like everyday accessories so they don't cause any suspicion. It's really popular amongst the kids of rich families because we're at higher risk of being kidnaped" Derek explained, ghosting over that last point like it was an everyday fact, "so I'm gonna get you one to connect to my phone in case you need me to come to your rescue, or something like that." "Are they really that hidden?" I asked, still skeptical at how small they seemed. "Well let's put it to the test!" Derek chimed, holding out his hands between us, "I'm wearing one right now. Of my two rings, one is normal jewelry, and the other is the panic button. Can you tell which one is which?" Given the task, I looked over the small objects at every angle, looking for some kind of seam or button to tell them apart. But after a few minutes of scanning, I still wasn't sure. "Is...Is it this one?" I hesitated, pointing at the ring with a jewel embedded in the band. With a wicked smile, Derek pulled off the other ring, showing me the jutting edge that asks as a button. "That's so cool..." I fawned, shocked at how such technology not only existed, but could be purchased. "To you it might be," he chuckled, sliding the ring back on, "I got access to a lot cooler things, but I guess from a commoner's perspective, it's pretty impressive." "Did you just call me a commoner?" I asked jokingly. "Uh, yeah, what're gonna do about it?" Derek teased. With nothing witty to retort with, I bit my cheek in frustration, quietly watching Derek chuckle to himself. With a puff, I stood up to go to bed, only for firm fingers to take hold of my wrist. "Hey, where're you going?" he questioned, his tone suddenly serious. "I'm going to get some clothes and go to bed" I responded curtly. "Don't do that," Derek grumbled, pulling me back into the bed, "sleep with me tonight." "Again? Aren't you tired?" "Not in that way, dummy!" Derek huffed, "sleep here tonight." Finally getting what he wanted, I nodded in agreement, letting my towel slip to the floor as I tucked myself into the covers. As I settled in, Derek set his laptop on his bed stand, dimming the lights as he joined me. "Come here," he beckoned, pulling me towards his chest. I hummed in response, finding the crook of his collar bone to rest my head. I let out a comforting sigh as Derek's muscular arms wrapped around me, securing me even closer to his form. "Do you have to go to work tomorrow?" I whispered, feeling my breath bounce back as I spoke against his skin. "I'm not going" Derek responded, not an ounce of hesitation in his voice, "I'm not going until the stuff gets here. Dad'll have to deal with it." I found myself smiling at his words, my heart beating just a bit faster. "I'm really glad to hear that...thank you." A heavy silence settled between us, only for Derek to start softly snoring by my ear. 'Sleeping like a baby', I thought, allowed myself to do the same. And like so many times before, I seemed to forget just how horrifying everything was, resting into Derek, and savoring the way he rested against me.
