3rd Person POV

*********************

Being the new kid at a new school wasn't easy, especially when the new school was in a different state. Y/N L/N knew this all too well, their family having moved across the country a lot for their father's job.

Adjusting to their new home wasn't easy on its own, but at least in the city they could visit their aunty, maybe stay with her if they decided they wanted to finish high school there. Unpacking took longer than they would have liked, having to spend all day unpacking their things and setting up their room, a pinboard across their bed with polaroid pictures of their family and friends from other places they've lived, bringing them a sense of longing as they remember their old friends.

After night falls and the stars glimmer above their house, they finish their dinner and return to their room, opening their window and climbing out of it to sit on the roof and stargaze a little.

The wind was chilly, nipping at their skin and sending a shiver down their spine as they looked out at the sky above, the pollution filling the air and violating their nose, making them grimace.

"bloody cities..." they muttered under their breath as they looked back to the stars, disappointed that they couldn't see many due to the pollution in the air.

They sigh and look to the road, it was late enough that not many cars would be out, the lights of the city illuminating the road and surrounding area, a loud roar of motorbikes drawing their attention as they look to the source, though they feel as if their eyes deceive them as they watch a group of eight bikers riding down the street, led by blue blur.

Y/N couldn't see much else, the riders riding way over the speed limit as they appear to be blurs of colour below them and on the road; blue at the front, more blue to the right of the leading blue, green to the left of it, pink and yellow moving in one blur, grey and red riding next to one another, and a rainbow one at the back.

The sight had definitely confused Y/N but they blew it off, knowing they had to go to school in the morning, they remained outside, admiring the city lights for another few minutes before returning to their room.

Once inside, they change into their pyjamas, (pyjamas of choice), and lay in bed, their mind racing as they remember the coloured blurs that they'd seen just minutes before, feeling intrigued about it before letting it leave from their mind as sleep consumes them.

The night seemed too fast, Y/N felt as if they'd only slept an hour before their alarm blares and forces them out of their not peaceful but not horrible sleep with an annoyed groan.

They awaken reluctantly, having to drag themselves out of bed as they make their way to their closet, pulling out their uniform from the shelving, sighing in begrudgement as they pull it on, fastening the striped tie under the collar of the schools shirt, putting on the lower half of the uniform (skirt/pants/shorts, whatever makes you comfortable darlins) and dragging themselves to the kitchen.

As they arrive at the kitchen, the smell of (preferred breakfast) fills their nose, making their mouth water as they enter the kitchen. Watching as their dad cooks their breakfast, they smile and sit down at the kitchen island, their dad greeting them with a song-like tone.

"Morning moonlight, how'd you sleep?" He asked with a fatherly tone as he handed them a glass of (preferred drink) and returned to making breakfast, humming along to one of his favourite songs from his youth.

"Eh..." Was all they could mumble before yawning and sipping at their drink, a happy hum leaving their throat. They sip on their drink as a plate of (preferred food) is put in front of them, their dad smiling warmly at them.

"You need to get a better sleep monkey-butt!" Their father cheered and ruffled their hair, making them groan and try to shake their hair back into place, which didn't work as well as they'd hope, much to their dismay.

Their dad laughed with a smile as he turned back to return to cooking his own breakfast, leaving his kid to eat in peace.

Once they'd finished their drink and breakfast, they got up, walking towards the bathroom, closing the door behind them to finish getting ready for their first day at school. After finishing, they leave the bathroom with pleasant smelling breath and a washed face, seeming more lively after washing their face.

They return to their room, packing their bag for school as they grab their phone off of the charger and head for the door, leaving early to be able to enjoy the scenery as they walk to school. As they step out of their home, they head down to the pavement, grabbing their phone and pulling up the directions to their school on google maps.

Once they had the route on their phone, they put their headphones in after plugging them into the earphone port on their phone, playing their playlist as they began the walk to school.

They get lost in the music as they begin the walk to school, admiring the scenery around them as they walk through the city, their music playing through their headphones as a steady breeze blows through their hair, their tie blowing in the wind slightly.

As they walk through the city, the wind rustles the trees and bushes, cars and buses driving past them as they make their way to the school. The sun shining down on them and making their skin glisten, they continue walking, their headphones in their ears as they draw closer to their new school, seeing more people in the same uniform as them, wearing the uniform's skirt or pants as well as the tie.

As they approach the entrance of the school, their nerves grow, they fight off a nervous swallow and walk into the school, their bag on their shoulders as they take deep breaths, giving themself a pep talk in their mind. Walking through the main entrance of the school, many students in the same uniform walk by them and into the main building.

Y/N takes a deep breath and walks into the building, feeling somewhat confident after their internal pep talk, only for that confidence to be shattered as they run into somebody, the collision throwing them off balance as they fall to the ground with a small huff as their rump aches from its contact with the floor.

A feminine voice speaks up, Y/N looking up to meet the student, only to be taken aback by the girl in front of them.

"oh my, are you alright?" She spoke in a voice almost as sweet as honey as she offered her hand out, her hair a medium blonde and long, really long, she had a white headband with small orange and yellow striped horns on top of it, her eyes a warm yellow, golden hoops worn on her ears, a green jacket tied around her waist.

Y/N looks to her hand and notices a beaded bracelet, they swallow nervously and take her hand, using it to stand themself up.

"oh uh... yea, I'm alright, thank you." Y/N said softly, a little embarrassed about making a fool of themself in front of her, the girl just smiled and waved them off.

"It's fine, what's your name? I don't believe I've seen you around here before" she cheered with a warm smile, making Y/N blush out of embarrassment of not introducing themself.

"oh uh, it's Y/N, I'm sorry for bumping into you..." They whispered sheepishly, the girl only smiling brightly in response.

"It's not a big deal really, no harm done, it's nice to meet you Y/N, I'm Julie!" The girl, Julie, chirped with a bright smile.
