it was midnight, the moon occupying the female, gazing upon the view of the busyness of Seoul from the seventeenth floor of the building complex. although she should be sleeping by now, the girl was adamant in revising for organic chemistry, a subject she loath most. she might be good with sciences, but hatred can't be controlled; what can be though is the way one handle the matter.
she took a peek at her phone, 12:45 written on the home screen. a certain notification caught her eyes, as she immediately took the gadget in her hand.

she'd like to ask how he had gotten hold of her social media accounts, however quickly realising most students had knew the existence of her account already.
the female decides to go through the male's account, only to be met with a private one. she follows him back before going back to whatever she was revising about earlier.

ricky was flustered at the sudden notification from the media platform. truth to be told, he hadn't expected her to follow back so quickly. he would never admit it, but the female had catch his attention, not practically having feelings for the latter but rather envy and admiration. his feelings was hard to explain, or maybe he's in denial.
he opened the app, and without realising he opened the girl's page, a new post was posted almost 2 hours ago. perhaps he had overlooked it before.

it wasn't surprising the female being famous, realistically speaking, a top student like her whom social and knows how to have fun was guaranteed to get the hearts of many, whether she realised or not. what bother ricky most was how identical she was to someone whom he consider 'the one'. but what's in the past stays in the past, or so he thought.
they have quite similar name if he say so, her perfectly fallen raven hair with those shining hazel hues, the colour of earth. maybe that's why ricky's so drawn to the female. a resemblance to his loved ones.
how cruel could fate be to make such encounter exist? a boy so lovesick meeting the one who cold potentially be the replacement of who he once called his, and a girl who craved love but never once taking the risk of loving. what could go so wrong? little do they know the pain awaiting for them— perhaps they knew they're doomed from the very start, but what's childhood without heartbreaks and love?
ricky let out a sigh as he tilt his head backwards, staring at the ceiling of his room. am i a bad person? he thought when he caught himself seeing meihui in the crack of meilie's figure. was he in the wrong for feeling such emotion? perhaps he is, but can you really blame him?
should he contact the female, he questioned himself, why would he need so? they're not particularly close in his opinion. in his eyes, meilie is just the typical girl with famed background. she's pretty average, what makes her stands out is her adamant dedication to education. why is he thinking so much about this girl he barely knew? he's positive he doesn't have feeling for the latter, and he's hundred percent sure of his feelings. or is he?

Hi, the author speaking ; firstly sorry to end the chapter on a cliffhanger, it's also shorter than the usual length i writes. i would like to announce that i would be putting this book on hold due to busy schedule, however i will be uploading regularly on October which is next month. i know its not ideal to go on a hiatus on such sort notice, especially when the book is only starting.
i also forgot to mention, i changed my username recently ! this account was @syawrites before it was changed.
other than that, i also publish another book " lingering cologne; park hanbin" it is complete. however, it's a short story that you could finish in one sitting.
