Chapter 5

In the morning, everyone gathered around the place where there was a hole in... you know what. Y/N kept her secret as she was saved by Dracula. She didn't still understand why he was kind to her and not the bloodiest murderer around her. Did he... like her? No, it was impossible. How can a beast like Dracula feel love toward a human? As she was thinking and not listening to the conversation, she almost heard the name of the member who was killed and disappeared: Petrofsky. He was a Russian man, Y/N believed. That's when she finally woke up and listened to the conversation.

 "Captain, the dog's body, I examined it. It wasn't killed in the larder like the other animals. It had bite marks on its neck. All the animals did."

As the captain and others listened to Clemens' report, that's when Anna came along. Y/N was happy and shocked to see her finally awake! She was happy to see her friend back in person. They used to play together when they were children and they even explored... Dracula's castle. But they didn't understand what big danger lay ahead. 

"He's here," Anna whispered loudly, feeling scared and terrified. Everyone faced Anna, including Y/N as Anna said: "He's here!" Anna ran to others, desperately trying to pull men to the ocean. "We have to get off this boat. Now!" Anna continued to shout at the men, warning that they were in danger. The captain ordered to restrain Anna as later, everyone continued with their work, even searching for Petrofsky. Y/N felt sad in her heart that he was dead. She knew it. Dracula was with her after killing the Russian man. 

Later~

As the sun was going down, Y/N gulped softly as she felt beginning to get scared but also... excitement? Why, though? Was it because of the beast that would emerge from his box grave soon? To hunt for another victim? When Anna saw Y/N, she was so happy to see her friend again but Y/N wanted to speak badly about what she had seen and be with Dracula. Maybe she knew what was going on. Y/N swore that she didn't know that Dracula had been feeding on her friend, Anna. Y/N then saw a storm coming so she walked to where Anna was inside the ship. She knocked on the door and entered, seeing Anna washing her hands. 

Anna looked up and smiled softly at seeing her friend. "Hey, Y/N."

"Hey, Anna." Y/N smiled but it quickly dropped as she sat down on the chair close to Anna. She watched her friend finish washing her hands and Anna dried her hands clean with a towel. When Anna saw her friend looking scared, she got worried and sat down next to her. "Are you alright, Y/N? You look scared. Is it because Dracula is here on this ship?"

Y/N sighed and looked at her. "Yes... and no."

"Huh?"

"I came to ask you something because, well, I met Dracula in person," Y/N admitted, feeling scared of her friend's reaction.

Anna looked at her in utter disbelief but she knew that she was telling the truth. Dracula does indeed exist, hunting for the blood of the innocent. Anna grabbed Y/N's hands in hers. Just as she was about to ask if she got bit, Y/N was first. She shook her head no. "No, he didn't bite me. In fact, he saved me from falling into the ocean."

Anna looked shocked. This was unlikely of the beast. If he didn't bite her friend, then why did he save her life? Anna looked away in thought while Y/N looked nervously at her. What and how will Anna react? Y/N was about to say something since there was some silence but Anna was before her. What she said, shocked her to the core: "Y/N, Dracula is in love with you."

Excuse me? What? How was this possible? How can a beast like Dracula fall in love with her? Was that why he showed affection towards her? Was that why he saved her? Y/N had many questions in her head that she would like to receive answers to. "He is not hunting you because he loves you, Y/N. He chose you to be his mate."

Y/N was about to respond when the ship started to go crazy. The girls nearly fell over and they supported each other so that they wouldn't fall. They went outside and it was raining like crazy, even with a storm happening. The girls were not only alone, but the entire crew was out. Y/N took hold of Anna's hand in hers and when she saw Clemens, her friend, she walked over to him with Anna. "What's happening?!" Y/N had to scream because of the storm.

"Larsen and Olgaren are missing!" Clemens screamed out. He then walked off while Y/N looked at Anna, everyone was worried. Larsen and Olgaren disappeared. Where had they gone? Y/N facepalmed, Dracula must've got them and to her shock, she was right. Olgaren was found by the ropes above the ship. Larsen was never found.
