Chapter 19: Jutsu

 Waking up today, I had a bit more say on how the morning panned out. The maids ended up giving a black kunoichi attire, similar to the yellow one I would generally wear, minus the scarf and haori. I also decided to wear my hair in a high ponytail to prevent my hair from getting in the way, my long temple hair and bangs were the one long not sticking out. But looking in the mirror, I was oddly dissatisfied.

"Maybe I did like black hair better.." Don't get my wrong. I like my style. But, with only black on, my head stuck out like a sore thumb, with elven ears and hair, not to mention my eyes. It just didn't fit the aesthetic.

"Miss, I have a gift for you from master Raihayai

She handed a black hair piece, and a scarf "He said that it should help manage to hide your identity if you are doing any work outside of the village."

Looking at it, it did feel like it would have some magical properties. I think I could wear this.

Putting it on, it immediately ended up doing a few things. First off, it ended up helping to hide my aura somewhat. The next thing was that it immediately caused a faint shapeshift to occur to my face. Looking in the mirror, my hair was now black.

"Wow, guess he read my mind."

I also ended up putting on the scarf. As I hide my face with it like a mask, it immediately covered up the rest of my aura and physical features, such as eye color and ears, shrinking the points down to the regular curved years found on humans.

"How do I look?" I asked the maids.

They all said how pretty and suited I am to be a traditional Kogan kunoichi clothing, causing me to gush. After eating, I was finally taken to the "ninja camp".

It was still pretty early. Slightly earlier then even I would wake up for my training. The Attendants helped me get ready on time, bringing me to the place at the side of the cave where other ninjas were. They seemed to know little of what was going on at these grounds as well.

"Hey, is this the 'new-nin' training camp?" One of them asked.

"Yes, where else do you think we are?"

"I'm just making sure."

"Maybe use your ninja brain and find out yourself."

And like that, I didn't need to hear the rest. It seems I arrived.

Eventually, we all were ordered to get into line, as we had a superior ninja. He wore a sleeveless ninja attire, showing off his built physique. If looks could kill.

"I'm a part of the Hi clan, and I'll be in charge of your orientation. We will put you in deep conditioning, both physically, spiritually, and mentally, to get you prepared to truly become a shinobi and join alongside seasoned shinobi. Once I consider you fit to be a shinobi, you will move up and do intermediate training, honing jutsu and techniques that will suit your capabilities as a shinobi. And finally, well move to field training, where you will join one of the platoons and go on missions. That is if you manage to pass this course. We have many non-shinobi civilians who help in resource management, for maintaining the village and the shinobi. There is nothing wrong with that, and without their help, we would never get this far. We still will teach you the basics in combat as well as aura control before you decide to bail. Now, we'll start now." He points to the cave. "This cave as been set up as a training course. At the exit on the other side, you will reach our main training facilities. We tend to keep it outside of town to prevent potential damage from ensuing in the village. There will be traps, as well as requirements of acrobatics. You will need to be sharp and fast. It will also be in the dark. Any questions?"
