As we reached a certain point, Suzuki ended up stopping, which was surprising. I only ran out of most of my stamina once. Perhaps he got it wrong. I ended up looking around, and even trying to use my insight aura to try to sense beyond the village, however, there was nothing but more forest. I don't think we would have stopped far outside of the village like this. Unless they're a lower speed limit entering the town.

"Why did we stop?" I asked. I smirked as I came up with a sly remark. "Did you run out of stamina."

He shook his head before getting into is small ninja bag before pulling out a small scroll. "Since this is your first time entering the village, I will be your current guardian."

"I mean, we are around the same age, right?"

"Age and maturity are different. Your aura oddly feels quite fresh, as if you were a newborn recently."

I was stunned by that remark. To be fair hasn't been even a year yet. But vaguely recall living up as a high schooler. Add that to the few months I have been here. Then again, I have been reincarnated, so perhaps that restarted my soul's 'age'. However, this is still speculation.

"Wow, that's quite odd, but I guess I don't match that maturity department completely." I stated.

"Because you are still new, and due to security concerns, we will have to knock you to bring you to the city. We can't let anyone know where it is once you escape."

"Whoa, whoa, whoa." I don't like where this is heading. "How can people probe my mind for information?" I asked.

"Well, there's looking for the subtle cues of telling a lie. Similar to a gambling card game but with your soul. And there's also using your own soul to compulse someone into telling the truth. Without necessary aura control and resistance, you will continue to remain a potential threat."

"Can you put you just put a bag over my head." I reasoned?"

"No can do, Lumiya. You're an elf, right? That means your senses are quite keen. Especially you're hearing. Because of this, all of your actions are quite obvious. I'm sure you have heard this?"

I nodded reluctantly "Yeah...some of the samurai say that my aura is quite obvious." And in my fight with Yuki, she read me like a book. I only managed to slip away, by trying to change the alignment of my aura to something more chaotic, which did definitely help temporarily.

"Do you understand. We will have to shut down all of your senses and prevent your aura from experiencing path to the village. And so, we have to knock you out."

I ended up drawing my weapons, which didn't surprise him. "What am I thinking?"

"Your aura gives a sense of opportunity, a lack of actual hostility, yet a fighting spirit. I'm guessing you want to fight me. Is that how you want to get knocked out?"

I was quite impressed, then again, it was clear he was out of my league. But still, this would be a great experience for me. "Right on the money."

He didn't draw his weapons. He only opened up the scroll. "First lesson of being a kunoichi, when your just focused one way, you are blind to others. You lost the very moment I got this scroll." As he activated the scroll, I began to feel pain in my cheek, before things began to become dizzy.

"So, the poison did work..." I touched my cheek, the place I was cut at.

"At this point, all the movement you did helped circulate the poison throughout your blood. If you used some sort of antidote or alcohol, that may have dampened the effects."

But I didn't faint or feel much pain from the poison during my fight. Was it a slow acting poison? No...he used a scroll. In that moment, I did realize what happened. "The poison...was made out of a aura-sensitive compound-"
