"So we'll just grab some goods and then head to the mall?" I ask. Lily, Georgia and I are sitting in the trunk of the car, we're squished together and barely have any room to breathe, but it is better than being squished between 5 other males in the front, "Yeah, but the problem is, my dad probably won't let us take the car. So... we'll have to walk." Of course, Liam ruined everything, if he hadn't thrown a silly fit we would be at the mall by now. Just as I was about to let my thoughts be known the car stopped and Lily's dad opened the trunk, causing the three of us to nearly fall.
"Come on. We've arrived." Geoff said. Georgia jumped out first followed by Lily and then me, as I tried to stand I felt my leg cramp and I almost fell over, I closed my eyes and prepared for impact, and that was when I felt a firm grip around my waist, I opened my eyes and I was met with a pair of emerald eyes staring back at me, "Are you alright?" Harry asked me as I stood on my feet again, the cramp had disappeared, "Yeah, thanks." I replied as I fixed my sweater, I looked up at him and realised how close our faces were, "Um, no problem." He said as he took a step back, creating some space between us. He turned around and walked toward Zayn, as soon as he left the girls approached me, "He likes you!" They both sang, "He helped me, the others would've done the same."
I walked toward the bake sale, my eyes scanning the snacks being given out by sweet older ladies. Little kids ran around the park with crumbs on their faces and tops as their mothers watched from the benches, and there were a few teens loitering by the swings.
"This is cute," I said and followed Georgia to one of the stands and explored by myself. "How much is this one?" I asked the woman behind the stand. The biscuit was one of those ones with the jam in the centre, "1 pound for two, my love." I nodded and remembered I hadn't brought my wallet, so with just a little disappointment, I went and joined Lily and Harry.
"Are you getting anything?" Lily asked and I shook my head, "I don't have any cash." I said with a shrug. "Yeah, same, but I'll just bum off my dad." She trudged off to find her dad, and left Harry and I alone, or so I thought. I looked to the side and found the boy gone and I let out a sigh before he came back with the jam biscuits I'd been eyeing.
"Harry," I began, ready to tell him he didn't have to.
"I'm not having it, take the biscuit," he gave me one and bit into the other one.
"Thank you," I said softly and he nodded.
"You're welcome."
We stood there for a while before he nudged me, "Let's go to the swings," and I followed him blindly, the kids that were there earlier had left.
"Push me?" I asked as I sat down on the tire swing. I felt his hands on my back gently push me until I was high enough, "Okay, that's fine!" I said but he kept going.
"Harry, stop!" I glanced behind me and saw the mischievous smile on his face.
"Stop!" I said as he pushed me higher and I let out a scream. I heard him let out a laugh but stopped pushing me, anyway.
"You weren't even that high!" He said as I began slowing down and I climbed off the swing with a huff.
"I hate you," I said and went to rejoin the others. I heard Harry trailing behind me but I didn't look at him, "Fine, Asteria, I'm sorry," he said but I shook my head. "Asteria," he called out but I just ignored him.
"It was a joke," he chuckled out and caught up to me with his annoyingly long legs. He let out a dramatic groan and draped himself over my shoulders, keeping me from walking, "Say something," he muttered against the crook of my neck, his warm breath against my skin sending a shiver through me.
"Get off," I muttered, trying to keep up the angry act despite the blush creeping onto my cheeks.
"Tell me I'm forgiven first," he bargained and I rolled my eyes, "I forgive you, Harry." I muttered, and he got off me, patted me on the back, and walked away like nothing happened.
