Jacket listened closely to the commotion she heard outside. She had to back away from the door so she didn't have to think about what might be on the other side. A dead body? Or even worse, a dead Stella?

She needed Stella, for information purposes of course. Nothing more. Not.

She and Nico had now been hiding for five minutes, but it felt like ages not being able to look on the other side of the door. She was so curious about what had happened. Her brain was fighting against the fear and anxiety.

Or maybe it was just the hope that Stella wasn't a murderer?

Nico silently grabbed his sword and aimed it at the door in case someone unfriendly opened it. Jacket secretly hoped that Nico would let her talk some sense into Stella before he stabbed them in the throat.
