brinley and valentina were getting ready for the boys first game when brinley brought up the kiss between luca and val.
adam had spent his second to last day with his brother, getting him prepared for his first game.
"have you guys talked about it yet?" brinley asked her best friend. "no brins. i'm scared." val said finishing up her mascara. "okay i know. but val, you're gonna have to talk about it. i mean once adam leaves it might be awkward between you guys." said brins, "you're right. i need to talk to him." val said as she got up and put her shoes on. "brins can you bring my jacket to the arena? i don't want to care it all the way to his dorm." val said, "yeah of course. good luck val, love you." brinley said as valentina walked out the door.
once she started her walk, val wished she brought her jacket. her flare leggings, umich sweatshirt, and mini uggs kept her warm, but that extra layer would've been nice.
once val reached lucas dorm room she knocked and was met with luca. "hey val, i didn't know you were stopping by." he said as he let her in the door, "hi luca. where are adam and rutger?" she asked as she looked around his empty dorm room. "they went out to grab food, are you okay?" he asked walking closer to the girl to examine her.
"yeah, i just need to talk to you i guess." val said moving so she could sit on his bed. "that's convenient cause i have to talk to you too." luca smiled at her as he stood right in front of her. "you first." he added.
"okay, um so the other night..." she said looking at his fave to try to read it. his cheeks blushed pink as she brought it up, valentina fully aware her cheeks were just as pink. "that's what i wanted to talk about too." he said. "great. so it was amazing." val said smiling, "the amazingness is mutual." he smiled, "i'd love to it again some time." he added, moving his face to be inches away from hers, waiting for val to close the gap. in which she did, creating a perfect kiss between the two.
luca pulled away first. "valentina, i want you to know i really like you a lot. i've liked you for a really long time actually, and i guess i just now grew the balls to tell you. but i really really like you val." he rambled. "well luca, i really really like you too. i've liked you since like the fifth grade actually." val said in response, and luca kissed her again.
this kiss was a lot more passionate than the other ones, yet still gentle.
val pulled away this time, "i should probably get going now. i just wanted to talk to you before your game." she smiled at him. "i'm really glad you did." he smiled back at her. valentina got off his bed, "hey val?" he questioned before she reached the door. "luca?" she responded. "you're going to the game right?" he asked, "like i've ever missed one of your games, luca. of course i'll be there." val said to him. "good, just want to make sure my girls there." luca smiled at her. when he called her 'his girl' butterflies invaded val's whole body.
"i'll see you after?" she questioned, "of course. you and adam are staying here tonight right?" luca asked. "yeah, so i'll see you after the game." val smiled at him. before she could leave, luca placed one more kiss on her lips and gave her a quick hug.
"good luck luca." said val as she walked out the door.

adam, valentina, and brinley waited for the boys outside of the locker room after the game.
after the pretty stressful first game, michigan beat penn state, 4-3. val and brinley wanted nothing more than a win for their friends.
the lead up to the season was filled with talk about how they think they're going to be really good this season and how happy they were with their teammates, so the last thing they wanted was to lose the first game.
dylan was the first one out of the locker room, walking up to val and giving her the biggest hug. "good job dyl." val said into the hug. "thanks val." he said pulling himself out of the hug.
ethan and mark were next out of the locker room, mark walked over to brinley and gave her a hug. he whispered something in her ear that cause her to laugh before she placed a kiss on her lips.
ethan went over to val, pulled her into a hug and then greeted adam. the two boys started talking about the game. brinley and mark joined them, mark giving val a quick side hug.
"what's taking them so long?" val asked the boys, "luca was getting out of the shower when i was leaving, and luke was getting dressed, and i have no clue what mackie and rutger were doing." said ethan. "great, we'll be here all night." val said as the last four guys walked out of the locker room.
luca walked straight up to val to give her the tightest hug she'd ever gotten. "hey val. thanks for coming beautiful." luca whispered into her ear. "of course luca." val smiled at him, "get a room you two." rutger said to them. val pulled away from luca and she was engulfed into a hug from rutger.
the group went out to dinner after the game and then adam and val stayed the night at luca's dorm room.

in the morning adam had to leave early. val was very upset that he had to leave, and had been crying all morning. luca and rutger found it funny when she was crying her eyes out as adam was trying to walk out the door but luca had her wrapped in his arms, trying to calm her down as her best friend left.
"shh, val it'll be okay." luca cooed as he traced circles into her back. "you'll see him soon don't worry." he said as her cries turned into sniffles every once in a while.

so i love this chapter so so much. and i'm sad adam's gone but the plans for the next few chapters are exciting i think.
