"adam! adam! hurry up!" yelled 9 year old valentina, skating around the community ice rink with her best friend, adam, trailing behind her. "val! wait for me." 8 year old adam said practically begging the girl to slow down.

val eventually slowed down, allowing adam to catch up to her. "hey slowpokes." luca, adams older brother by 2 years, said.

val was best friends with both the fantilli boys. as soon as she moved next door to them in kindergarten, the three kids were inseparable.

"hi luca." both adam and val said at the same time, making each other laugh.

after skating for about 30 more minutes, mr. morgan was at the rink to pick up the kids.

"hey kiddos. how was skating?" valentina's dad, bradley, asked as the trio got into his black suv. "it was great dad! i beat adam in a race." val said very enthusiastically. "i wasn't trying that hard or else i would've beat her." adam said, making excuses on why she beat him. "val beat you cause you're slow adam." luca said defending his best friend. "yeah, whatever." adam scoffed playfully which caused val to push his shoulder.

the morgan's dropped off luca and adam at their house before getting home. as soon as val got home she fell right asleep with a huge smile on her face.
