Y/N POV

I am usually at my family's house but 2 weeks before and after mine and Harry's birthday comes around. I get sent to my aunt's house because they don't want me to disturb their "quality time" with friends and family.

I am in the attic in pain. I was given the attic to live in the attic at both houses. I Just got beat for puking up on Dudley. The puking was an accident, but on Dudley was not. I felt it coming and decided that would be a good time to embarrass him.

I looked at the clock and there were 20 more seconds until my 10th birthday.

I was getting nervous for some reason and had a slight pain coming from my back.

The pain was getting worse.

The clock struck midnight and the pain came back all at once and even worse than it was before.

I woke up with my head hurting. I tried to get up but could not. There was something very heavy holding my back to the ground. I rolled over and then got up slowly. I looked in the full body sized mirror and gulped. I had a pair of black wings 12 ft long on my back. It would be an understatement for me to say I was stunned. 

I read about this in one of the books that I picked up in the potters library. The library has not been touched or claimed, so with the little ounce of bravery that i had i asked them if i could have it, they surprisingly said yes because they were about to get rid of the whole library anyway. I realized that I just went through my inheritance. This is very weird because I read that your inheritance usually happens when you are 16. 

I suddenly got a letter. I opened it. 

Dear Ms. Potter, 

We see that you have just gone through your inheritance. We welcome you at Gringotts anytime to get everything sorted out. The portkey is activated by saying the word "Heir". 

Please arrive as soon as possible, 

Griphook 

I was debating going and getting caught for leaving by my aunt, getting caught by people in Diagon Alley and telling my parents that I was out. There was a sudden pounding at the door.

Now's my time. I grabbed my duffle bag and portkeyed to Gringotts.

I got there and was in awe of how big it was. I walked past the goblins and went up to Griphook's desk.

"Hello Ms. Potter. Follow me."

I was led to a back room. It had brick walls and had bookshelves all around on the walls. In the middle of the room sat a desk with papers stacked up on it.
