Shen Yuan stared at the infamous cannon fodder sitting on the other side of the low table. His hands instinctively hooked on the apron of the low table as he imagined himself using the only existing piece of furniture as a defensive weapon for a hundredth time in the numerous If-Then scenarios that his creative mind provided.

Should the original Shen Qingqiu finally decide to skewer him for masquerading as him, Shen Yuan would, at least, be able to defend himself and try to prolong his meager life and barter his way out of the deathly situation with the help of this piece of hardwood...

"Must you stare?"

Shen Yuan snapped out of his thoughts and immediately looked away as he tried not to let his embarrassment and awkwardness seep through his thin face for having his eccentric behavior called out. But not long after, Shen Yuan finds himself looking back at the Qing Jing Peak Lord, only because there was nothing to look at in the white void that they were currently in other than his new companion and the low table that served as the only boundary of their shared personal space.

He was merely looking! He can't help but take note of Shen Qingqiu's bearing, and of how much it differs from the original work's description of 'being a particularly elegant and handsome man with black hair and eyes'. Now that he could see the appearance he involuntarily borrowed more clearly and in his own perspective, that hack author is, as usual, as insubstantial as he had done with Liu Qingge!

The lack of narrative was absurd! The same crushing sense of being duped that he experienced at his first encounter with Liu Qingge shattered his imagined convictions! The fanarts were inaccurate! Because beyond the reflection quality of a bronze mirror or of still waters, and as vividly as his poor sight would allow, Shen Yuan could see that Shen Qingqiu is as ethereally pretty as the Bai Zhan War God!

If Liu Qingge's delineation were that of a delicate young master who plucks willows and arranges flowers, Shen Qingqiu's would be of a mature young man with a gallant ostentation of a royalty with perfect genes!

Of course, this unforeseeable feature was expected. If a side character like Liu Qingge has such an appearance, Shen Qingqiu, the first antagonist and the primary necessary cannon fodder in the story, would have the same bias that Airplane displayed whenever that hack thinks with his dick —in which Airplane never fails to vindicate his honor by describing his pathetic and pitiful financial issue whenever Shen Yuan voices his complaints about unnecessary excessive use of fanservice. Shen Yuan would know since that hack always recited poetries of his attraction to his Ice King every time he came to Qing Jing to vent about the aforementioned Ice King.

Then again, Shen Yuan wouldn't be so intrigued by the protagonist's background story if Airplane Shooting Towards the Sky made his cannon fodders, especially his long-term villain, don the look of a typical cannon fodder. That would be too cliché and boring for someone like him who has read and watched works of the same caliber!

Shen Yuan quickly averted his gaze to the endless horizon to his left when the original goods raised his fan and glared at him. He can't help but moue in contempt while cursing Airplane in his thoughts when he begins to notice his underlying boredom in his hostage situation,

Stupid Airplane, stupid book! The genes of these beautiful long-haired men are unscientific! Very unrealistic! Where are the statistics in that, ah?!

Also, is Luo Binghe's 613 wives not enough for fanservice that he had to turn his cannon fodders look like superstars, only to kill them right off the bat because they are unimportant?! That third-rate hack should have used his imagination on other things, like coming up with a problem-solving instrument other than his quick-fix papapa!
