In the recesses of Airoy's mind lay a cherished memory, a fragment of a time long past, yet etched deeply within his being.
[Flashback]
"Did you hurt yourself again?" A distant voice echoed.
Airoy's tear-streaked face lifted, meeting his mother's concerned gaze. "Yeah, and it hurts," he admitted, his voice choked with emotion.
"Come here, let me look at that." With tender care, his mother attended to his wounds, gently bandaging his injured leg. "There, does it feel better now?"
Airoy nodded, his gratitude evident in his eyes. "Thanks, Mom."
"Now, would you mind telling me how you got these bruises?" His mother's worry was palpable.
Airoy hesitated, his voice trembling. "The other kids started making fun of me, saying Dad abandoned us and probably doesn't want anything to do with us, and then... this happened." Tears welled up in his eyes as he voiced the unspoken questions haunting his young mind. "Mom, why won't you tell me anything about Dad and why he's never home? Doesn't he care about us?"
"He does," his mother reassured, enfolding him in a comforting embrace. "He does. You know, it's a little complicated. You'll understand when you're older, alright?" She held his gaze, her eyes conveying a depth of emotion beyond words.
Airoy sniffled, nodding in reluctant acceptance. "Okay."
"Come on, cheer up now," his mother urged gently, brushing away his tears. "You know what? I'll make your favorite food extra special today, okay?"
"Really?" Excitement lit up Airoy's face as he embraced his mother tightly. "Thanks, Mom!"
"Remember this," his mother whispered, her voice filled with love and reassurance. "I'm here, you're here, and that's enough."
[Present day]
Airoy snapped out of the memory, the warmth of his mother's embrace fading into the cold reality of the present. His heart pounded with the weight of the revelation—that he was Genis Arkin's son, the same man who had once been Zephyr Blackwood's top scientist. The same man whose disappearance had left a hole in Airoy's life. Everything his mother had kept from him was now crashing down in a storm of confusion and anger.
Leena's voice cut through his thoughts, "Airoy, you okay?"He nodded, but in truth, he was anything but. His father, the man he had longed to know about his entire life, had been deeply entwined in this dark, twisted plot. Airoy felt like he was drowning in questions. Why had his father left? Did he abandon them because of this conspiracy? Or had he been running from something far worse?"We need to figure out what to do next," Razor said, pacing across the dimly lit room. "If Zephyr Blackwood knows who you are, it's only a matter of time before they come after you."Leena added, her face serious, "And if we're right, your father may still be out there, Airoy. There's a good chance Zephyr's been holding him, keeping him hidden to control the narrative. We need to find him."Airoy's chest tightened at the thought. Could his father still be alive? The possibility set his mind racing."How do we know where to start?" Airoy asked, his voice quieter now, but more determined.Leena leaned in, pulling up a holographic map of Neo-Tokyo on her wrist device. "This data breach, the one that led me to you, it originated from one of Blackwood's hidden facilities. It's not far from the central district. If your father's anywhere, it could be there."Razor crossed his arms, his jaw clenched. "It won't be easy. Blackwood's got that place locked down with drones and enhanced guards. We'd need the entire Parkour Sanjo and a miracle to even think about getting in."Airoy stepped forward, the uncertainty in his mind now replaced with resolve. "Then we'll get them. I'm not running from this. I need answers. I need to know why my father disappeared, and if he's still alive, I'm bringing him back."Leena smiled slightly. "Good. Because you're going to need that kind of determination for what's coming."The team began to assemble their plan. Razor reached out to the other members of the Parkour Sanjo, pulling together the best free-runners, hackers, and tech experts from across Neo-Tokyo. Their mission was dangerous, and they all knew the risks. But Airoy, fueled by the need to unravel the mystery of his father's disappearance, was ready to face whatever came next.As the night stretched on, the warehouse buzzed with activity, each member preparing for the mission that could change everything. Airoy stood at the edge, watching the city lights flicker outside, knowing that tomorrow would either bring the truth—or their end.He could almost hear his mother's voice again, soft and reassuring: *I'm here, you're here, and that's enough.*But this time, it wasn't enough. Not anymore.
