The final, full, day. I couldn't believe it, evident by the fact that all morning I had butterflies in my stomach. I didn't have a plan for that day, but judging by the fact I'd already thrown up once and could very easily do it again, I knew that wasn't an issue. There's a difference between being sick and being nervous. When your sick you feel like your muscles have no strength, your mind no thoughts nor motivation. Well I have plenty of thoughts and that weak feeling came in my legs only when I tried to stand. What would it be like tomorrow night? I couldn't collapse in front of him, I can't think of a more pathetic romance.

I had no money now, or at least nothing significant. I'm well aware that I'm a Princess, I'm not broke, it's more the issue that my parents are my families treasury holders, the only money I have to my name is a couple hundred I keep in my bedside table. I needed more than that before I left, but since my father took me yesterday instead of Jurgelda, my plan had gone to shambles in that respect. Fortunately, I was happy to hear upon my return the day before that she had taken the time to get back on Trident. She'd done quite well too, according to the stable hands that helped her.

Also in my absence, my mother had held a public announcement regarding the 'Arrangement'. Supposedly I was to bring this man gifts and gold, as my mother stated. I'd see about such things. Right now I needed money, but it didn't look like there was going to be much opportunity. Unless, I asked my mother for money for my journey. Then I'd be inclined to be given some for my own safety.

I'd been summoned by my parents now, so upon bracing for whatever godforsaken thing they wished to speak about, I left my room and walked for the throne room. That was their favorite place to address me, or at least my mother's, so they could have me stand beneath them.

The guards opened the doors for me and I stepped inside, briskly walking to the absolute center of the room, looking to my parents with my nose upturned.

"Princess Nova." My Mother began, "Tomorrow afternoon you will be embarking on a journey on your own for the first time. This is going to be a huge event in your life with every possibility of being dangerous. We wish to ensure you understand what is to happen, and that you know how to remain safe."

I raised my head a little bit, determined to show them I believed I knew what I was doing, "Thank you for your concern, Mother, and I can inform you that I have no doubts about my ability to protect myself."

My mother narrowed her eyes at me but nodded slowly, "Then let's move onto what you'll be bringing with you." She knew she couldn't argue to how I got there as the man she'd arranged with would have her head, "I'm tonunderstand you've already packed the clothing you wish to accompany you?"

"That is correct, Mother."

"Then we would like to gift to you a few items. Bring then forward." She beckoned at a maid who stood to the side of the room, a small enough wooden box in her hands. My mother walked down the steps to the throne with my father in tail. She took the box from the maid and held it open before me, "Firstly and most importantly, an amulet of the Crescent Moon, our Kingdom and Family's emblem."

My hands ran over it. It was silver with indeed a crescented moon hanging from its chain. That moon had a cutlass spiking through it from the bottom. This part of the necklace was bejeweled with Ruby, glinting warmly. There was another small Ruby stuck right at the bottom tip of the Crescent too. I must admit it was beautiful.

"A reminder of the might of the Ruby Snowlands of Montekino." My father said proudly.

"Thank you, both." I said genuinely, "I will wear it proudly for the pride of your Empire."

My mother laughed, "Our Empire, darling, one day you shall be Queen once I have passed. Your daughter after you and so on."

My father smirked, "Or maybe you'll introduce the first Patriarchal ruler, have a King in power for the first time in our history."

My mother shot him a look, but her face definitely portrayed some form of distant panic, "Hopeful thinking, dear, but a woman will lean into the correct inheritance, mine. You did not start this Kingdom and you do not rule it now."

They bickered back and forth for a few minutes, meaning I slipped out unseen in those few minutes. The necklace was nice, something I was likely to wear on occasion, but of course my mind had it tainted with my mothers image. That was my one obstacle towards it.

Still, I had no money and no real way of getting it, though as I passed my parents room on my way to the drawing room, I had an idea.

The door was heavy enough but I could open it quietly just enough to slip through. Inside was lit by sunshine from a very large round window. Of course their room was full of dressers and chests and various items, but I only needed money. Enough to get me there. This was no treasury so what I'd be taking would come directly from my parent's pocket, so to speak. I went straight to the dresser on my mother's side of the room, which I knew was split. I rifled through the drawers for a few seconds before finally stumbling across a small stack of a couple hundred large notes. A stuffed them hastily into the front of my dress, hurridly making my way to the door. I froze there though. Those steps sounded like my mother's.

(OK I know I said 2 days but there has just been a lot on so I promise I am fixing the waits)
