also while i was coloring i literally made so much lore for the species
ok so basically imagine sirens but their lower half is see through, their organs are also transparent.
they lure in their pray (humans) by pretending to be an injured person stuck in the waters.
Sometimes they smear blood belonging to old pray on there body's or the seam of their tail and torso to give the illusion of somebody who has lost the lower half of their body.
They have very low saturated skin tones due to the lack of sunlight, the only parts that are colored by the sun are usually the neck, shoulders and face.
They combat this lack of color by wearing makeup.
Most of their make up is composted of grinded coral, seashells, and minerals found in the ocean.
it is normal for even children to wear makeup.
Their ears are made from the same transparent tissue their lower body's , the shell of the ear looks like that of a fin that flattens when in the water, leaving them with muffled hearing causing their other senses to be mildly enhanced to make up for it. They tend to cover their ears with their hair when hunting.
