In 2015, Dustin made a sequel to one of his favorite 70s films Silent Night Bloody Night a 1974 cult classic. The sequel Ferguson made is surprisingly better than the 74 classic. He also started making music videos of his music. His Rapper name is Dirty D. He was hired In 2015 to shoot a horror movie on VHS. The movie he made lead into his most famous franchise Meathook Massacre. Ferguson said in interviews that he had a fun but stressful time making the film. In 2017 he made the sequel to the movie.
He also made another franchise Mondo Shcok in 2015 too. He was yet again hired by producer David Sterling to make 2 sequels to Camp Blood. He was given 200 bucks to make 4 and 5. With very little budget and living in Nebraska it made it hard to make a movie. Ferguson was told to make it look like winter time but in Nebraska it was like 90 degrees. The actors were miserable and Ferguson was stressed out. Sterling kept on telling him to re-shoot multiple scenes and by the time he shot the films back to back he was finished. Ferguson says that he wish he could remake the sequels and that it was the most stressful film set ever!!!
In 2016 and 17 he made 2 amityville films. One about a toy box and another about a killer clown. He also made Penny Pinchers his first documentary in 2017. A sequel was made in 2019. He also in 2017 got the rights to Nemesis series a sci fi 90s cult classic. He made Nemesis 5 while moving to California from Nebraska.
