Whenever there is sunshine, there will always be rain.
Goodbye my love,
Happy Birthday...
__________________Chuuya still remembers through this very day, the day where his supposedly happiest day went downhill in a blink of an eye.
He went to his wine collection and picked up his most prized wine, popped off the cork and drank it up not even using a glass. Why would he? Why would it matter anyway? Why was everyone he would care and love always leave him? Why? Why? He slumped back on his chair as he gets another bottle after he finished the other one.
It became his habit, every night, every day, even after that day still haunts him.
'Why wasn't I was by his side that day? Why?-' his thoughts were interrupted by a sudden knock on his door.
"Chuuya-kun?" A man's voice echoed outside of the door. Chuuya abruptly stood up, irritated and what's more that the wine made him tipsy. He walked towards the door and opened it.
There stood there a pale young man hair black as the dark night sky with his hair tips having the color if the moon that outshines the night, Ryuunoske Akutagawa.
The pale figure stood on the other side of the door, looking at the drunk Chuuya as he observes him with his grey eyes with the hint of concern. "The boss had called for you." He said and bowed before leaving after hearing his superior mutter curses and slammed the door, hard.
-----As the red head walked through the halls of the Port Mafia HQ, he gets the nostalgic feeling back on the days when he was still there beside him. Of course his mind was screaming to forget him, but his heart was the opposite. He hated the man-of course, but, deep inside his heart and his mind he truly cared for him, and after knowing what he did it gave a big pang inside his heart.
Sooner then, he didn't even realized that he already reached his destination. He stares up at the big enormous black doors which hides the most important place of the whole Mafia HQ.
After knocking and telling his name, he waited for a few seconds and the door opened. This certain place, where he never wanted to enter gave him memories of his first meeting with them, mostly with the second encounter with him.
After the door closed, he bowed respectfully to the current boss their boss- Ougai Mori. As per usual, he saw him sitting in his big comfy office chair behind his big glamorous desk with a small pile of paperworks and some scattered coloring books and some crayons on the tiled floor.
He stayed still, slightly looking around the room, he still remembers him the room gave him nostalgia, the place where he was held down, the place where he was recruited, the place where he got his first mission, the place where they were partnered up, and the certain place where he stood beside the boss as his right hand, and also the place where the Double Black was created.
He zoned out for a moment, remembering everything they did, where he found out that he was leaving for a promise to a lost friend. He hated-no he despised the room.
His thoughts were interrupted by a slight clearing of a throat, he pushed away his thoughts and focused on the man, waiting for him to give him orders and stuff.
"Chuuya-kun, it's been a while. By the looks as of now, you look quite tye person who had lost an amount of weight. Even so, let me get to the point." Mori said as he showed his usual fake friendly smile. He signaled Chuuya to come closer, and he did. "Here are some reports of an underground movement targeting the stocks and deliveries of our elite Port Mafia, I want you to look after the case and I will leave the solution to you." He handed Chuuya a folder with all of the information, and signaled him to leave. Chuuya took and bowed and walked out of the room, and towards the door.
Chuuya decided to go out and get a good sniff of the outside air. He took his new car from the Mafia's parking lot that he was oh-so familiar with, the time where he also bombed his previous car as a joke after he left.
Sighing, he went inside and observed the folder, flipped it open and looked through the small pile of fastenered papers.
He closed the folder back and inserted his keys on the car's keyhole and started the engine. He drove through the busy streets of Yokohama, passing various and enormous buildings, famous shops, people passing the road, the clear blue sky, the shining sun, and him. 'Fuck it.' He thought, he gazed at the traffic lights and waited for the lights to signal them to go. He sighed erasing him from his thoughts but as not to really forget him-he really just couldn't.
He reached for the small radio on his car and switched on different stations and put the volume to a minimum. He pressed on the car's pedal after the lights turned blue (A/N: I really don't know the mechanisms in Japan's traffic signals but as far as I know the colors are red, yellow and blue. Please correct me if I'm wrong.)
He turned on different curves until he reached his destination. A place where they would usually go to secretly. The all-to familiar smell of newly brewed coffee, the calming ding of the doors bell signaling that a customer has arrived, classy music that is playing in the background, the aesthetics of the shop that will really give you the vibe of calmness, the small chatting of people, and the view, their favorite view, the seaside, waves that humps over the white sand, the tourists, and lastly the place where he also confessed.
He sat down on the same usual spot where they first went. He ordered some Cappuccino and some croissants at the menu, he placed the folder atop on the table as he waited for his order, took his phone out and starts scrolling through Instagram. His order arrived within minutes, he took a picture with it and posted on his Story. He closes his phone and puts it back in his pocket and took a sip at his Cappuccino.
He reads through the file and looks at the people and their details and took a note in his mind to end this mission quickly as for him to go back and drink his precious babies once again. (A/N: oops! I forgot to say that he drank tea to ease his tipsyness after he drank his precious babies.) After he read through it all, he fixed his coat and adjusts his fedora hat on his head and pats his curly bangs neat.
He took his large Cappuccino cup and the last croissant and went out of the café-of course he paid for it, and went to his car after a one last look at the nice view of the seaside.
He unlocked the car door, plopped the folder at the back seat, placed his large Cappuccino cup on the holder and placed his half eaten croissant beside it, put the keys inside of the keyhole once again, start the engine and drove away.
