chapter 5: new day, new life

Third P.O.V:

They looked up to see a pair of light blue eyes with short pink hair 9 year old boy dressed up in a black suit. His hand outstretched holding the umbrella above their head with a concerned gaze.

"Blessing and glory upon the stars of the obelian empire." Said a man beside the boy.

The twins turned to the source of the voice

To see a man that had light toned brown hair, a pair of sharp light blue eyes same as the boy.

Blue eyes......light colored.....heard somewhere.....

Taking this as a sign he continued "My apologies my son was only talking out of concern. I hope you have the heart to forgive my son."

"We will let this slide ones but tell your son to mind his manners." The male of the twins spoke. "Anything else to say?"

"Your highness you have my most sincerest condolence at the lose of the empress." "I see." After that the prince turned his head to look at the grave again.

Only the princess started at him. Finally she spoke.

"Count Green, is it?"

The noble bit back a little surprise at that. Most child's around this time don't know this things but he guesses being royalty is entirely a different matter . "Yes, princess."

At that the blonde only blinked. So, her guess was correct this man is count Green of the southern region.

The Green domain. A land under the rule of count green. Of all the territories in the Empire.....those in the southern region has the most resources. And green was the most powerful of all domains in the south. Simply put, it controlled the entire economy of the southern territories and choosen to be the heir of the household ruling over this domain....was the count's only child Arjen Green.

A short hmm was given as the reply. She thought how do I make him support me,us? Even though we have the backing as the first princess and prince of noble lineage and got the supporting of the Callisto household that will be not enough .

"To tell the truth princess the Empress and I were business partners ."

"I see." She wondered if that connection will benefit them to gain his support.

"As well as good friends back when she was in the Callisto household and still were after she became the Empress."

That was unexpected she thought that her mom was connected to him by business not past or friendship. Her mother didn't talk much about her time in the war or her past. But, she should have guessed it. Her mother was a secretive woman. Who knows where else she got her connections?

The words of her mother's last words to them rang out in her mind.

"I wonder how did you two meet?"

"Well your highness as much as I would like to share her and mine memories together the rain is still pouring down. I worry you three that you might catch a cold in this weather. "

Oh right...they are currently being soaked by water. She gave a glance at the boy who was still holding the umbrella.

She spoke. "Yes, we should head back. In the future, I will sent a invitation letter to the green county. I am still interested about my mother's relationship with you count green."

"It will be an honor for our household."

And again she glanced at the boy again staring in to his eyes "Stop holding the umbrella above our head you are getting wet . We are alread drenched in the rain water so, it makes no difference if you hold the umbrella now." At that she saw the boys eyes flicker and took back his outstretched hand.
