I snapped back and my whole body lunged forward into a sitting position. My mom started frantically looking around and she was saying my name but i could only barely hear it. My ears were ringing. But my mom rushed to my side and hugged me. She ended up on my bed with me and we laid there until the nurse and the doctor came in. They ran a bunch of tests on me and said that they wanted to keep me one more night to be sure that i was going to be okay enough to go home. Behind the doctor a shape of a human started to form and it had ended up being D he had this big smile on his face that i ended up laughing. My mom nudged me with her elbow and told me to pipe down. The doctor and nurse lady ended up leaving after a bit and my mom was staring at Dimitri. She could see him.
"So you are dead huh Dimitri?"
"Yeah my body failed last night but hey I'm hear and that's all that matters" he giggled.
"How come you can see him mom?"
"I'm a witch to Cass did you forget?" my mom said laughing
"WITCHES hahahaha yeah right" Dimitri yelled laughing hysterically.
"Its true D" i said
"Oh yeah prove it" he challenged.
"Mom can you do it I;m too tired." I said
So my mom asked me if I wanted some pudding and I said sure. She put her hand up and I saw her eyes swirl with color and a pudding popped up in her hand there was already a spoon in it. She handed it to me and I looked at Dimitri his mouth was agape and he looked so shocked. I started laughing at him and he came and sat on the bed in front of us.
"You can do that too Cass?"
"I'm not as good at it, seeing as I'm a newbie and haven't had much time to practice ya know" i told him while shoving a spoonful of pudding in my mouth.
the pudding was really good i think it was butterscotch haha. i think i found my new favorite food. my mom got off the bed and grabbed her purse, she told me that she will be back in a few hours she had to go check on the house and then do some shopping and have lunch with Dimitri's mom. She was distraught because she had just lost her only son and my mom wanted to do something nice for her. Dimitri looked down at his lap and looked really sad. I tried to put my hand on his shoulder but then remembered that I couldn't. So I just dropped it down to my side and told him that it will be okay no matter what happened.
I finished my pudding and tried to get up to throw it away but it didn't work out very well. I must not have all of my bodily strength back . So I just put it on the bedside table. one of the nurses will take care of It later. Dimitri got up and started to walk around he walked through the wall and back. He started laughing and yelling about how cool it was that he could do that.
"Do things look the same to you D?" I asked him.
"No, the colors are much fainter and its more dark then what you see." he said with a weird look.
"It is way different then what I used to see. I like it but I am gonna miss the way it used to be."
"It will be alright D I am just glad you were able to stay...."
