As the months went by, Anita and Damian were getting serious. Finn joined the NXT roster and wasn't sure how to feel about their relationship. He realized that he made a mistake and this was what he had to endure. He watched as Irelynn ran to Damian after his match. "Feeling left out?" A voice asked. Finn turned around to see Matthew standing there. "Sometimes. It's my own fault." Finn said. "I agree with you, but at least you make an effort to see her. Some don't." Finn nodded. "It'll take some time to get used to seeing her happy with someone else. You can't dwell on the past. Focus on your future." Matthew told him before leaving. "Papi, can I sleep with you and Mami?" Irelynn asked Damian. "That's up to your mom, Mi dulce chica." Damian told her. Irelynn turned to her mom. "Please?" She asked with her pouty face. Anita smiled and placed a hand on her head. "Of course. I know how much you miss Papi when he's on the road." Anita said. Matthew put a hand on Finn's shoulder. "You'll be okay." Matthew told him before stepping forward. "Renny!" He said as he squats down. "Uncle Matt!" She said, running to him. He scooped her up and spun her around. Irelynn giggled and held onto Matthew. "What did the doctor say?" Anita asked him as she spotted Finn down the hall. He waved before he left. "What we thought. The cancer is back." Matthew said. Anita took a deep breath and hugged Matthew. "Mia, it's going to be okay. We're coming up with a game plan to fight this." Matthew told her. "I know, but I can still have my tears." She said as she wiped her tears away. "I don't wish this on anyone, Matt."
"Cariño, todo va a estar bien. Everything is going to be fine." Damian told her. Matthew picked up Irelynn and followed Anita and Damian to the locker room. "It's a lot. You're not the only one who cried. Ashford was a mess." Matthew said. Anita chuckled. "I believe it. He really loves you." Anita said as she sat Irelynn down on the bench. Damian headed to the shower while Anita and Matthew talked. "That's what happens when you're separated from each other for so long." Matthew said. Anita nodded and sighed. Irelynn pulled Anita's sleeve. "Is Uncle Matt sick?" Irelynn asked. Anita looks at Matthew. "Yes, Ren. I am sick, but not with a cold. My sick is on the inside." Matthew told her. "Oh." Matthew tickles her belly. "I'm still okay." Damian walked out of the bathroom. "When do you go for that?" He asked. "Next Wednesday." Matthew told him. "Let us know the plan." Damian said as he picks up Irelynn. "Trust me, you two will be the first ones I call. Ashford is going with me." Matthew said as he stood up. "Whatever you need Matt, let me know." Anita told him. Matthew smiles and nods. They all head their separate ways and Anita sighs. "He's like a brother to me. I can't bare to see him go through that." Damian puts his free arm around Anita and pulls her close. "He's a fighter. No cancer is going to hold him back." Damian told her. "I know, but it still hurts my heart." Damian strapped Irelynn into her car seat while Anita climbed in the passenger side. Damian drove back to the house. "Momma, are you sad?" Irelynn asked her. "Yes, baby. Momma's sad, but I'll be okay." Anita told her. Damian took Anita's hand and kissed it. "One step at a time." When they got home, Irelynn was asleep. "Should we put her in with us or in her bed?" Damian asked. "I did tell her she could sleep with us." Anita told him as he got her out of the car. "You did. She'll be upset in the morning if she woke up in her own bed." Damian chuckled. Anita smiled and opened up the front door. "Take her to our room and I will get her pajamas." Damian nodded and went upstairs. Anita followed after locking the door. She stopped in Irelynn's room and grabbed her princess pajamas before heading to her own room. Damian had placed Irelynn on the bed and was taking off her shoes. "Why don't you get ready for bed while I change her?" Anita told him. He nodded and went into the connected bathroom. Anita changed Irelynn and placed her in the middle of the bed. Anita went into bathroom and started getting undressed. She pulled on Damian's shirt and a pair of shorts. "Why do you look better in my clothes than I do?" Damian asked her as she brushed her hair. "I don't know. Maybe you don't wear it well." She teased. Damian wrapped his arms around her and kissed her neck. "Maybe, but I prefer you in my clothing." Damian told her. She smiled and looked up at him. He gave her a passionate kiss. "Let's go to bed. We have all day tomorrow together." He told Anita. They climbed into bed on either side of Irelynn and drifted to sleep.
The next morning, Irelynn was up early so Damian let Anita sleep in. They headed downstairs to make breakfast. "Can we make Mamí breakfast in bed?" Irelynn asked Damian. "Si cariño. Let's make pancakes." Damian said. Anita started to stir a few minutes later and reached out and felt an empty bed. She quietly made her way downstairs and found Irelynn and Damian in the kitchen. She smiled and just watched them interact with each other. She quietly made her way back upstairs and into bed. She laid there and thought to herself, 'I am one lucky girl.' Damian and Irelynn came up a few minutes later. "Good morning, Mamí!" Irelynn said as she climbed up beside her mother. "Good morning! What is this?" She asked. "Breakfast. We wanted to make you some in bed." Irelynn said as Damian placed the tray down. They all enjoyed breakfast in bed before Damian went downstairs to do the dishes. Anita and Irelynn decided to get dressed. Anita got dressed in

She put Irelynn in a sundress and pulled her hair up in a ponytail before she pulled her own hair up. They went downstairs as Damian finished up. "Don't you two look cute?" Damian said as he kissed Anita. "Me too!" Irelynn said. They laughed and he kissed her cheek. "Let me go get dressed and we can figure something out to do today." He said before heading upstairs. Irelynn went into the play room and Anita watched her. Damian came down and wrapped his arms around her. They both watched Irelynn play. "What are you thinking about?" He asked. "My mom. She didn't really get to watch me grow up because she worked long hours at the hospital. My first dad was home with me more before he was killed." She told him as Irelynn played with her baby doll. "Then she met my dad after we moved to Cameron and she was working long hours again. I spent most of my time with him and my brother or Uncle Steve or my dad."
"She worked like that to provide for you." Damian said. "I know. I've never resented for it." Anita said as they went to the living room. "What on your mind then?" Damian asked. "Nothing. I think I'm getting sentimental." She told him. They sat watching the TV and listening to Irelynn play.
