Chapter 4

The city of Houston bustled with life as Beyoncé and her friends, Michelle, Kelly, and Aaliyah, set out for an evening of camaraderie. Together, they attended the same university, forming a close-knit circle that offered Beyoncé the comfort of true friendship in her life as an intersex woman.

Little did they know that a shadow loomed behind them, a relentless presence that had stalked Beyoncé through her life like a haunting specter. Onika, her obsession unabated, trailed behind them, fixated on the woman she believed was rightfully hers.

As Beyoncé and her friends enjoyed their evening, laughter echoed through the streets. Their happiness was infectious, a stark contrast to the turmoil festering within Onika. Her eyes burned with jealousy as she witnessed Michelle, one of Beyoncé's friends, engaging in a flirtatious exchange with her.

The jealousy in Onika's heart transformed into a fiery rage. She could no longer bear to see someone else making Beyoncé smile, feeling like she was losing the love of her life. In that moment, Onika decided to take matters into her own hands, to confront Beyoncé and reveal the extent of her obsession.

The group eventually made their way back to their university dorm. Beyoncé unlocked the door, and they entered the shared space, oblivious to the storm that was about to descend upon them.

Onika seized the opportunity. As the door closed behind her, she slipped into the room unnoticed. There, in the dimly lit space, Onika stood before Beyoncé, her eyes filled with a tumultuous mix of anger, jealousy, and desperation.

"Onika, what are you doing up?" Beyoncé asked, her voice trembling with a blend of surprise and fear.

Onika's tone was sharp, her words dripping with bitterness as she finally revealed the depths of her obsession. "I've been watching you, Beyoncé, every step you took tonight, every smile you shared with your new friends. I was ok at first until what's her name oh Michelle started to get to close to what was mine. I can't stand seeing you with anyone else. You belong to me."

Beyoncé's eyes widened in disbelief and fear. The realization that Onika had been stalking her sent shivers down her spine. She had hoped to leave her past behind and that they could start to move forward, but it had caught up with her once more.

As Beyoncé tried to speak, to reason with Onika, something within Onika snapped. The anger and jealousy that had simmered for so long erupted into a fiery rage. Without warning, she lunged at Beyoncé, her hands reaching for a nearby object.

A knife

Fear surged through Beyoncé as she dodged Onika's advances, her heart pounding. Desperation drove her to run into her room and lock the door behind her. Onika pounded on the door, her voice echoing with manic intensity.

"Beyoncé, come out! We need to talk! You can't hide from me!" Onika yelled, her obsession spiraling into madness.

Inside the room, Beyoncé clung to her phone, trembling and terrified, unsure of how to escape this nightmare she had hoped to leave behind. Her past had returned with a vengeance, and there was no escaping the dark truth of Onika's obsession.
