Chapter 3: Adam and Alaina Meeting for the first time.

Alaina received a text from Her best friend, Will Halstead, saying he's going back to work today.     she was excited to see him, and hopefully, he recovered well with his older brother Jay fussing over him and Kevin was fussing over her for the next 2 weeks, and she got annoyed with it a lot. 

Alaina then remembered how she met her best friend Will Halstead in New York at med school.

Flashback

Alaina had just finished moving her stuff  into her dorm and was now heading now to the bookstore to get the books she needed for her classes when she bumped into a young man with red hair  and brown eyes who was carrying his books and she was carrying her books as well.

Will said," I am so sorry, I should have been paying more attention to where I was going, are you okay, Ms... I never asked for your name. That's so rude of me. my name is Will Halstead.                                                          Alaina said," My name is Alaina Atwater, and it's okay. I should have been paying more attention as well. do you want to be best friends with me, Will Halstead? I could use a friend right now.          Will said," Yes, I would love to be friends with you, Alaina Atwater? we should get our books now. both Alaina and Will went to pay for their books and head back to their dorm rooms and put their books away, Will was unpacking his stuff, and his dorm room was nice and clean.                                                               Alaina knocked on the door to Will's dorm room, and he opened it, steps outside the dorm, closed his dorm door, and walked together to a small coffee to get each other better. 

Alaina said," I have an older twin brother named Kevin Atwater and two little siblings, Jordan who is 2 and Vinessa, who is 1. I want to become a doctor to help people, and I love my family.

Will said," I have an older brother named Jay Halstead, He's in the army right now and I wanted to become a doctor  to help people as well and I love my family as well, and especially my big brother and my mom. I miss them like Crazy right now anyway. I kind of feel like I am alone now.

Alaina said," I feel that way too, Will but We will always have each other until we come home to them and then if they get hurt, we can make sure our friends treat them and we'll visit them.           Will said," That helps me feel better. Thanks for being my best friend and for comforting me.                                                                                                                                                                                                    Alaina said," You're welcome, and I'm glad you are my best friend too. I'll be here for you, Will.

Flashback over

Alaina shook her head fondly at the memory of she met her now very best friend for the first time just as Kevin came downstairs and drove his twin sister to work at Chicago Med.

With Jay and Will Halstead

Jay was helping Will into his doctor scrubs due to his arm and leg still being in a cast.                         Will  was a little bit healed but he still had to be careful going up and down the stairs                   Jay walks downstairs to make breakfast and Will walks downstairs, holding onto the rail and slowly walks over to where Jay is severing breakfast and Will eats his breakfast and Jay does the same before Jay cleans up the table and Will heads to the living room to put his tennis shoes on. 

Jay then helps Will downstairs and helps him get into the car, and Jay drives him to work

At Chicago Med

Kevin drops Alaina off, Alaina gets out of the car, and Kevin heads to work . She heads inside to the lounge to put her things in her locker and wait for her best friend to show up

Jay drops Will off, Will gets out of the car and jay heads to work and he heads inside to the lounge to put his things in his locker and gently hugs his best friend and she hugs him back.

they parted from the hug and waved to the two friendly nurses who have been nice to them.

Alaina said, "Hi April and Maggie, how are the both of you doing this lovely morning?"

Maggie said," I am doing well, and how are you, Alaina? Will you're back already?

Will said," I sure am, Maggie, and I'm excited to be back as well. so let's start the day.

April said," I am great, and I'm glad you are healing, Will. you had me, Maggie, and Alaina worried for a few days, not to mention your older brother Jay as well. He wouldn't leave your side at all.

Will said," he's a great big brother, that's for sure, and I love him a lot. He is the best big bro ever.

Alaina Atwater, Maggie Lockwood, and April Sexton smiled before the doors opened, and they were treating patients when a couple is rolled in and they started working right away.

The lead medic said," Mary Ruzek, 30 years old, collapsed when she got out of the shower.

The second medic said," Her husband, Max is in the Ambo behind us. He fell off the roof, trying to fic a broken chimney, and he hurt his right arm and his left leg. Nephew is on the way and the same with her brother.
