Rosalyn Arwin Black was never a child to be impressed, she would have judged you with a simple look of her eyes, she rarely smiled either, birthdays were always quiet, nothing but a simple "thank you" to show appreciation to her family. Andromeda and Ted Tonks, were very welcoming to the one year old when Dumbledore showed up one morning with a sleeping baby in his arms.
Nymphadora always wanted a little sister, and then she did. Rosalyn never associated with anyone, she had a few conversations but nothing to keep her entertained but she liked Nymphadora, they matched each others energy.
The years slowly came when she was starting her first year at Hogwarts, though she wasn't as excited as her aunt and uncle were, she believed they wanted her out of the house. They believe it would help her open up more, male friends or possibly meet a boy. Andromeda knew the little girl didn't do hugs or kisses to the head, since she never grew up with it, it was awkward for Rose.
Andromeda would casually buy Rosalyn any new addition of books that she believe would be interesting, and every time she gifted her the books, it was the only way to show her love to the young girl— even the older woman could see the child's eyes lit up a bit with a hit of a smile fighting to grow on her face.
Rosalyn never believed her life would have become what it was about to be, she let down boundaries for people she didn't even want to befriend, fought against her own family, but she would look back and never regret a thing.
