➾ dragon's and snakes

THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY,  was the break filled with happiness, warmth and amazing food on the dinner table. Rosalyn went back home to her family, the two weeks she spent home were very peaceful, especially since she didn't have to worry about any troll or three-headed dog.

The two week holiday break went by fast, her family noticed a certain change in the eleven-year old, she's been more talkative, they are beginning to think about the three friends she's been sending letter's to.

Rosalyn returned back to school earlier than usual, Hermione had been sending letters for the past two weeks, keeping her updated on her everyday life, her parents brought her a kitten, though Hermione needed to keep it home until it grew older.

"I had you looking in the wrong section. How could I be so stupid?" Hermione Granger slammed the book down onto the table, Rosalyn turned to the girl. "I checked this out weeks ago for a bit of light reading."

Ron simply stared. "This is light?"

Hermione paused at his words, and continued to flip through the book. "Of course! Here it is! Nicolas Flamel is the only known maker of the Sorcerer's Stone."

Rosalyn eyes widen slightly. "Really!?" Hermione nodded quickly.

Ron and Harry glanced at each other then at the two girls. "The what?"

Hermione cocked her head, leaning forward. "Honestly, don't you two read?" She looked back down to the book. "The Sorcerer's Stone is a legendary substance with astonishing powers. It will transform any metal into pure gold and produces the Elixir of life which will make the drinker immortal."

"Immortal?" Ron mumbled.

"It means you'll never die." Rosalyn explains word by word, knowing how exactly to get underneath his skin, she hadn't forgotten what he said about Hermione.

Ron glared. "I know what it means!"

"Shh!" Harry held a finger to his lips. Hermione returned to reading. "And the only stone currently in existence belongs to Mr. Nicholas Flamel the noted alchemist, who last year celebrated her a 665th birthday."

Rosalyn scoffed lightly. "That's what Fluffy is guarding in the third floor. That's what's under the trap door. The sorcerer's stone."
