Next day as Tripura was busy in cleaning the room, her thoughts were consumed by the elusive keys to Karan's apartment. She couldn't help but ponder how much trust she had placed in him, never daring to inquire about his life. It was at this moment that she found herself questioning why she had been living under his shelter all these years. The uncertainty weighed heavily on her mind

In that moment of deep contemplation, Tripura grappled with the decision of whether or not to confide in Karan about her pregnancy. The fear of revealing this news was overwhelming, as her primary concern was the welfare of both her children. Her thoughts raced, and she couldn't shake the anxiety until she finally learned about Karan's whereabouts

Lost in her thoughts, Tripura's reverie was abruptly interrupted by Karan's high-pitched voice. Startled, she turned to see him through the door, engaged in a heated and furious conversation with someone on his phone. His anger was palpable, and he seemed to be locked in a relentless argument with the unseen individual. The intensity of the situation left her both curious and concerned

Panicked by Karan's approach, Tripura swiftly moved away from her current position, seeking refuge out of sight. She discreetly concealed herself, her heart pounding with apprehension, unsure of the reason for Karan's sudden exit from the room and wanting to avoid any confrontation or unwanted attention

K: (Frustrated) : I've already paid you a substantial amount! I won't give you any more money.

Man: (Slyly) Mr khanna you know how much this matter means to you. I need more to make it go away.

K: I've been more than fair with you. I won't be blackmailed any further. Yesterday you said this would be the last payment.

Man:  think about the consequences if this goes public. A little more, and I promise, it'll all be over.

K: I won't give in to your threats. Find another way, or I'll take legal action.

Man: (Mocking) Legal action, Karan? Do you even realize what that would mean? You'd end up in jail for the rest of your life.

K: I... I can't just keep giving you money forever. There has to be another way to resolve this.

Man: (Smirking) Well, you better figure it out fast, Karan

And he hung up the call

Karan, seething with anger and frustration after the call ended, couldn't contain his rage. He muttered a string of foul and cursed words directed at the man who had pushed him to his limits. The situation had clearly gotten under his skin, and he was struggling to maintain his composure in the face of such provocation

Tripura, her heart racing, entered her room and swiftly locked the door from the inside. She was panting and heaving, her emotions running high. With trembling hands, she reached into her pocket and pulled out the key. Relief washed over her as she stared at it, a symbol of her newfound control. Her mind then raced back to the moments after Karan had left the room

She vividly remembered how she had hurried into his study room, fear and curiosity driving her. There, she had meticulously searched through his bag and, to her surprise, found the key hidden within. The discovery filled her with a mix of emotions, leaving her with newfound resolve and determination

Tripura, deeply concerned about Karan's unusual behavior, had gone to his room to check on him during lunch. However, when she found him upset and disinterested in eating, her worry grew.

T: Karan, are you okay? You haven't left your room since morning, and you're not eating. Is everything alright?

K: I just don't have an appetite right now, Tripura. Please, don't disturb me. I'll eat when I feel like it.

T: But Karan, this isn't like you at all. Is something bothering you? Can I help in any way?

K: I just need some time alone, Tripura. I'll talk to you when I'm ready

The sense of impending doom weighed heavily on her, and she couldn't shake the feeling that something significant was troubling him. She left his room, her thoughts consumed by worry and uncertainty, unsure of what to do next

As Tripura lay in bed, tension gripping her, she knew that she had to return the key to its place before Karan noticed it was missing. Her restlessness kept her wide awake, and she anxiously waited for Karan to fall asleep beside her. The room was cloaked in silence, broken only by the soft sounds of the night.

Tripura's heart pounded in her chest as she watched Karan, hoping he would soon succumb to slumber so that she could seize the opportunity to quietly return the key. The weight of her secret was heavy, and the night seemed to stretch on indefinitely as she waited for the right moment.

In the early dawn's faint light, Tripura cautiously slipped out of her bed, being as quiet as a whisper, and left the room, determined to return the key unnoticed. She moved stealthily through the silent house, reaching Karan's study room where she carefully replaced the key. With a sigh of relief, she turned to leave the room, her footsteps almost soundless.

However, just as she descended the stairs, her heart leaped into her throat. At the opposite end of the stairs stood Karan, his presence unexpected and startling. The silence was palpable, and a sense of dread washed over her as their eyes met, freezing her in place.

K : What are doing here at this hour ??

T : I thought I heard some noise downstairs, so I came to check. Everything okay?

K : Is that so

Then he quickly came to downstairs and said

K : Have you found anything?

T : Nothing serious it was a window I left open last night

K : Oh okay

Then they went to their room lying back down beside Karan, Tripura's heart finally began to settle. The weight of the secret key no longer burdened her thoughts, and a profound sense of relief washed over her. As she closed her eyes, the tension that had gripped her for so long gradually dissipated. In the comfort of her bed and Karan's presence, she finally allowed herself to relax. With a deep sigh, she drifted into a peaceful slumber

As Tripura was busy preparing breakfast, Karan dropped the news that he would be leaving for a conference in Florida the following day. She looked up from her cooking, curious about the details.

T: How long will you be staying there?

K : I'll be away for about five days.

The brief exchange left Tripura with the knowledge that Karan would be absent for a significant portion of time, prompting her to consider the implications of his absence.

After the conversation with Karan, Tripura's phone alerted her to a message from Anisha. Her eyes quickly scanned the message, which contained promising news about finding someone who could create a duplicate key for them. A sense of hope and determination welled up within her as she realized that Karan's upcoming five-day absence would provide her with the time and opportunity to work on their plan and gather the evidence they needed. Tripura knew that this was a crucial moment in their pursuit of the truth, and she was ready to seize it.
