-Introduction-

I have wanted to write something tragic for a while now but too many things sprung to mind. I recently watched a film called The Impossible that is a favourite of mine. The emotions that were woven into the story itself were beyond fathomable and I often watch the movie with a heavy heart. The way it had the ability to affect me, fascinated me as I thought about the audience that, like me, would cry and fall in love with the portrayal of the horror that took place in 2004. It opened a whole new perspective to me of the sufferers of natural disasters who were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. It made me realise that we often take things for granted and I wanted to somehow use this beautiful story and my favourite people to create a story that would move people as much as the film moved me.

This story is based on that film and I can only hope that you fall in love with it and think about the tragedy that affected over half a million people. If you haven't watched The Impossible I highly suggest you do and I almost 99% guarantee that you will cry like I did at certain scenes. Which brings me on to warn you at this is a story of tragedy and will involve scenes of death and horror. However it will also involve a family that stay together through it all and I hope that you will fall in love with the characters. I cannot promise that you will not get upset or possibly even cry but remember that I have aimed for that particular emotion to be drawn from you.

You may know me from my previous book: Shut Up and Drive and I would like to put out there that the characters in this book are not linked to the characters in that book. Any characters in this book only relate to this story, not any of my previous stories. There may not be a lot of chapters in this book but the chapters will be quite long. The characters POV will be stated at the top.

This is literally one of those books that I just sat down and started writing with influence of my beloved film. I sincerely hope it touches your heart and opens your eyes to the reality of this world.

Enjoy.
