Sometimes it was hard to predict the temperament of an artist, especially one as unpredictable and emotional as the Light of Kshahrewar himself, but this time it was absolutely bizarre.
It all started because of one Cyno who often spoke before he thought, and because of that trait of his, he caused problems for others and himself and this time the victim of his thoughtless blurted revelation was none other than Alhaitham himself. Alhaitham who did everything in his power to not deal with such troublesome things.
So now he was about to face Kaveh, an upset Kaveh, and he really didn't want to do that but it was better to resolve everything as soon as possible before it evolves.
However, the moment he joined Kaveh at the table where he prepared lunch, he found his roommate looking away from him which made it clear to Alhaitham that his roommate was upset with him. Still, he cooked for the both of them so he was probably not that upset, but being the reasonable man that he is, Alhaitham tried not to get too hopeful.
"You're still angry about it?" He asked disinterestedly, he already knew the answer.
Kaveh quickly turned to glare at him. "Of course I am still angry about it. Everyone knew about it except for me!"
A tired sigh escaped Alhaitham, but he was glad that Kaveh was at least looking at him and responding. It was better than the silent treatment he got this morning.
"Why do you care so much about it?"
"Because," The glare remained on Kaveh's face as he slammed his hand on the table leading to what's on it to rattle. Alhaitham steadied his drink because it was about to fall off, but his gaze remained on his roommate. "We were best friends, Haitham. You were the closest person to me and yet you never told me about it, but then I find out that even Cyno knows. How do you expect me to not get angry?"
Holding back the urge to groan, Alhaitham's face remained impassive. "In my defense I never told them. They were observant enough to know."
"You-"
A frustrated sound left Kaveh as he gripped the table, but then he let go of it with a huff and sat back in his chair with crossed arms. He knew what Alhaitham had said was true, and now he didn't know if he was more mad at him for not telling him anyway or at himself for not noticing.
It didn't matter, the whole thing just bothered him.
"Being angry with me won't change a thing, besides, now you know, too. I don't see why it would matter now." Alhaitham watched as Kaveh thought about what he said carefully, wishing he could read his mind to know what was coming next. The whole thing should have remained a secret anyway, that's how he preferred it. "Let's just eat."
Still tense with irritation, Kaveh shook his head in refusal. "Not before you tell me all about it."
"Kaveh-" Alhaitham started, but the look Kaveh was giving him told him that no matter what he will say, it'll be futile. He better just go along with it. "Alright, what is it that you want to know?"
"You've had a crush on someone when we were students at the Akademiya."
Despite it being a statement, Alhaitham still gave Kaveh a nod of his head before he dryly spoke. "Isn't that what Cyno told you and the reason why you've been mad at me since this morning?"
"Yes, it is. Why did you keep it from me?"
Alhaitham shrugged. "It wasn't something I told anyone. As I stated before, those who know figured it out by themselves."
"Then I can't believe I missed that." Kaveh grumbled tapping his fingers on his biceps since he still had his arms crossed. He thought for a few moments before he looked up at Alhaitham curiously. "Do you still like them?"
