(James didn't know how this happened. He used to be a karate fighter who became a champion lately, but then he was somehow dragged into a tournament known as Mortal Kombat, which proved to be more than meets the eye. He bravely fought an outworlder named Kitana, who smirked seductively at him.)

Kitana: You fight well, but don't underestimate me, your karate isn't enough to defeat me!
James: My karate isn't an ordinary karate. Hien Shippu Kyaku!
(James tries to hit Kitana, who blocks his attack and uppercuts him, damaging his lower jaw.)
James: Damn... she hit like a real fighter...
(Kitana dashes at him, and he tries to counterattack)
James: Zanretsuken!
(James deals quick punches, but Kitana blocks each of his attacks, and then she slashes his chest with her fans, almost bringing him down.)
James: Whoever was her mentor, he taught her very well. I'd better try my last attack! HAOU...
(Kitana's eyes narrow as James shoots a powerful fireball.)
James: SHOKOUKEN!
(James' Haou Shokouken manages to break through Kitana's defense, but sadly it wasn't enough to being her down. She then approaches him.)
Kitana: You fought well, but this ends here.
(Kitana simply knocks him out as she carries him away. The Earthrealmers got worried about James, especially Raiden as he knows there are fates worse than death.)
-Timeskip brought by James being forced to fight various female kombatants.
(Some time has passed since the tournament. The Earthrealmers had won, but their victory had a price because James got taken to Outworld and became the Female Outworlders' personal slave. But the worst was still to come.)
(James is seen currently with a chained collar in his neck as he is pulled by the Empress Sindel, who overthrew Shao Kahn after the his defeat at the hands of Liu Kang. She demanded him to lick her boots and he complied as he starts licking.)
