I laid in bed, feeling the newly received bruise. I pretended to be asleep when I heard the door open.
"Chan-ah, are you awake?" I stayed silent in the darkness of my room. "I'm sorry Chan-ah. This is the only way to you safe. Please forgive me one day. I love you." He walked further into my room and shut the door. I felt the dip in my bed as he sat down. I couldn't help but turn over and look at him.
"Hyung, why do you tell me you love me but continue to do this to me?" I could barely see his face but it looked as though he'd been crying. He reached down and grabbed my hand.
"I'm sorry. I have to keep you safe. This is the only way." I couldn't help but start crying at his words. I sat up and started hitting him.
"How is this keeping me safe!" I kept hitting him till he wrapped his arms around me. I tried to free myself but I couldn't. He just held me harder.
"Shhh, baby."
"Sihun Hyung..."

Sihun P.O.V
It broke my heart to watch him cry because of me. I'd spent every day for as long as I could remember trying to keep him safe. Over and over I failed. He was my whole world but I failed to keep him safe because I got too close. Now he was crying in my arms. When he finally calmed down, I coaxed him to lie back down. I pulled the cover over him and laid down beside him. He was silent for a long time before speaking again.
"Hyung, I love you." His eyes were rimmed with red.
"I'm truly sorry Chan-ah."
"Are you?"
"Yes. If I could take you away from this, I would. Unfortunately, you have to go through this."
"Hyung, stay with me please." He wrapped his arms around my neck and pressed his head to my chest.
"I'm not going anywhere."

Present time
3rd P.O.V
Dino woke with tears streaming down his face. He'd had that same dream for months now. He couldn't understand why he was having a dream about something that never happened. His brother had never been that kind to him. The thought of it sickened him. There was a knock on his door. He got out of his bed and went to open it. His breath hitched when he saw that it was his brother.
"Chan-ah." Dino's heart fluttered at his brother's soft voice.
"What do you want, Hyung? Why are you here? Is it your goal to make my life a living hell again?" Sihun frowned.
"You really have forgotten everything." Dino looked up at him with a frown.
"What are you talking about?" Sihun carefully walked into Dino's room and closed the door.
"I thought you would at least remember the night I left." Dino was confused.
"Chan, the night I left you was the hardest thing I ever had to do. I hope you can forgive me."
"Forgive you? Do you know how badly you hurt me?"
"It wasn't me. It was your dad. I don't know what you think you remember but it isn't true. I love you. I care about you. Everything I've ever done was to protect you."
"Why are you calling him my dad? He's our dad." Sihun shook his head lightly.
"He's your dad. Not mine. I'm not your brother. I never was." Dino laughed.
"You tell me you love me but then you say I was never your brother? That's hilarious. Should I call you Sihun Ssi instead of Hyung?" Sihun felt a pain in his chest as Dino said that.
"No. I'm still your Hyung. I'm just not your brother." Dino sat down on his bed.
"You're telling me that all these years everything I knew was a lie?" Sihun sat down in Dino's bed but far enough that he wouldn't make him uncomfortable. "All of those unnatural feelings I felt towards you weren't unnatural?" Sihun looked up at Dino out of curiosity.
"What are talking about?"
"You. I've always had feelings for you and I felt disgusted with myself."
"You were 10 when I left." Dino smiled at him through tears.
"Yes, but even then I knew what I felt wasn't brotherly love. All the shit you did to me but I still couldn't help but love you. I'm sorry Hyung."
"It's not your fault. I don't blame you for anything." Dino looked up at him and frowned.
"So, what I thought happened, never did?" Sihun shook his head.
"I was there to keep you safe. The things I did were purely to keep you out of harm's way. I wasn't supposed to care about you as much as I do. When you were younger, I saw you as my baby brother. As you got older it changed to something else."
"But you were gone?"
"You may have not seen me but I was always around. I was keeping an eye on you. It was my job to steer you here. Clearly, I succeeded."
"Hyung, why are you sitting so far from me?" Sihun looked up at him.
"I don't want to make you uncomfortable."
"I'm not." Sihun hesitantly moved closer to Dino. After that, they sat in silence for a while. It was a comfortable silence for the two of them. Dino felt confused. He'd gone 8 years without talking to his Hyung. He thought Sihun had hurt him. He thought Sihun was related to him. 8 years later he found out that everything he thought he knew wasn't true. He felt anxious. He felt exhausted. He wanted to hide but when he looked up at his Hyung, he couldn't help to feel a little at ease. Despite his thoughts, he couldn't help but lay down and pull his Hyung down with him. Sihun was confused but still pulled Dino into his arms and soothed him to sleep. He laid there for a long time with Dino clinging to him. He watched Dino with a worried frown. He knew things were about to get bad. He was scared for Dino. He was scared for all of the boys. He knew so much but could only tell them so little. He knew it was dangerous to not tell them but it was even more so to tell them. He looked down at Dino as he stirred in his sleep. Dino was murmuring. Sihun leaned down to hear him.
"Hyung, why did you leave me?" Sihun pressed his hand to Dino's cheek.
"I won't leave again. I promise." Sihun whispered. Sihun knew what could happen. He knew there was a possibility of losing Dino again. He made that promise to the one person who had always loved him no matter what bad he did. Because of this, Sihun was going to do everything he could to keep Dino and the others safe. He was going to take his last breath before he let any of those boys suffer any more than they already had.
