Y/N looked around with wide eyes as she stepped through the giant doors of the Boubatton School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

It was everything she had dreamed of and more.

The elaborate castle with its soaring towers, moulded turrets and surrounding buildings all set against the backdrop of the rolling green hills, truly was a sight to behold.

Y/N couldn't wait to get settled into her new home.

After introducing herself to the other students and unpacking all her things, she eagerly set off to explore the vast grounds for the first time.

Everywhere she looked she saw wonders, from the majestic Great Lake to the massive greenhouse and Herbology gardens that seemed to take up an entire valley.

Y/N was in awe.

Soon she was ready to attend her first classes, and it didn't take long for Y/N to make an impression.

In Herbology with Mr Staback, she successfully quickly repotted a mandrake  also known as a mandragora that was meant for 3rd years.

In Charms with Madame Favero, y/n was the first one to levitate the books into the shelf

Then Potions with Mr Scaffe she made a confusing concoction and made an antidote for swelling solution

And finally in transfiguration with madame Monceaux she turned a mouse into a snuffbox

No matter the subject, she was the top student in the group.

A/N do you notice something with the names?

All the teachers seemed very surprised with her level of knowledge knowing she was a year younger than all of the others in the class.

That is, until they came to Flying Lessons. Madame Hackett had explained the lesson plan for the day; Get on your broom, hover above the ground for a minute and then land back down.

Everything seemed to be going well enough until one of the children took a wrong turn and crashed into the castle wall.

Madame Hackett quickly rushed the injured kid off to the Hospital Wing and the rest of the class was left in a state of shock.

Y/N could feel the tension in the air as everyone watched the professor hurry away.

That's when a particularly nasty girl who Y/N hadn't gotten along with all week, decided to take advantage of the situation. She grabbed her broom and decided to try to shoot a hoop metres away from her.

Y/N had never seen someone so confident in their own skill before.

Just as the girl was about to make the shot, Y/N felt a spark of determination within her.

She soared up into the air, grabbed her broom and flew towards the hoops the girl was aiming at and In the blink of an eye, she had blocked the shot and landed safely back on the ground.

The whole class was stunned. All eyes were on Y/N.

Madame Ophelia had witnessed the entire event and wasted no time praising Y/N for her bravery and skill.

When y/n was taken to the quidditch pitch, and saw the captain called Lily, it felt like the most exciting job in the world. She smiled from ear to ear, knowing she had the chance to do the impossible.

The quidditch captain then began to explain all the rules and involvements that would be happening in the game.

Y/n had no idea what the other players had to do, so Lily began to explain in an orderly fashion.

There would be one keeper, three chasers, one seaker, and two beaters.

The keeper had the job of keeping the quaffle from going through the hoops. This meant that the keeper had to be very skilled at defense quick thinking and a good eye to stop any incoming goals.

Then there were the three chasers. Their job was to pass the quaffle to each other and shoot it through the goal hoops.

It also seemed that these players had to be skilled in passing and shooting so they don't miss any goals.

The seeker and the beaters both had pretty dangerous jobs. The seekers had to find a golden snitch, a small golden ball with wings about the size of a walnut.

It zipped around quickly, so the seeker had to be strong and have a quick eye to catch the snitch.

And lastly there were the two beaters. The beaters' job was to get rid of the bludgers. These balls were enchanted to chase after any player it were hit towards, and could easily knock them out. It was a dangerous job, so the beaters had to be very careful.

Finally, y/n left to prepare for her next class.

She couldn't help but feel excited about the upcoming quidditch practice, knowing that she was joining a sport that so few people have the chance to play.

This part was a bit longer
