Bridgette's P.O.V

A deathly silence fell across the room. No one even dared to breathe. I hugged Geoff even tighter. These could very well be our last moments alive. The minutes ticked by. I wondered how much time had passed. Finally, Courtney took a deep breath & said, "Well, we've got to do something about it. We can't just sit here & be scared." "She's right." said a red-haired girl. "We've got to try & get some help, or at least try to not die." "We should organize ourselves into groups & do different tasks." I chimed in. "Yeah, 'cos that worked out sooo well last time." said Noah, rolling his eyes. I chewed my lip. He had a point. "I think Bridgette has the right idea." said Cameron. "Divide & conquer. But the group should be big, so there is safety in numbers." "There's a radio in the production tent, we should first go look for that." said Leshawna. She turned to the rest of the room. "Who's coming?" "As the most useful, I volunteer myself." Jo said, raising her hand. "Who said you're the most useful, Jo?" Brick said, raising an eyebrow. "I mean, sure, you're useful, but not the most useful. Besides, you hardly ever follow the cadet code of 'never leave a man behind'!" "At least I can keep my pants dry in the dark, Dampy Pants!" Jo retorted. "Guys, now is not the time for your petty squabbling!" I said frustratedly. I sighed. "I'll come with you, Leshawna." "Then I'm coming too." Geoff stood up. "There's no way I'm letting you go out there by yourself, Bridge." I blushed slightly. "I'll come too, I guess," said a short girl with brown hair wearing a pink tracksuit. "My great great great great great grandfather Phillip stood up to Jack the Ripper, so like, taking down serial killers is in my blood." "Yeah, and I'm a descendent of King George III." said Noah sarcastically. "Guys, for the last time, SHUT UP!! All of this arguing ain't gonna get us anywhere but a graveyard!" yelled Leshawna. She had a point. "Ok guys, stop it. Let's just go." I said.

I took a deep breath & pushed the door open.
