Zoey's P.O.V

It was a while before anyone came back. It had started raining pretty heavily. Mike and I chatted quietly as raindrops lashed the windows. It helped calm me down. Well, as calm as you can be with a serial killer on the loose hell-bent on murdering you. I kept glancing nervously towards the door. Mike took my hand in his. "I'm sure they'll return soon." he said. "Don't worry. I'll always protect you, no matter what." I smiled. "do you still have that necklace I gave you before I got eliminated?" he asked. I reached into my pocket. "Of course. I've had it with me ever since." There was a pause. I unpinned the flower from my hair and thrust it in the palm of this hand. "Keep this with you. In case....something happens, I want you remember me by it." His fingers closed around it. "I'll keep it safe." Suddenly, the door of the cabin burst open, in sync with a clap of thunder. Jo and Leshawna came, drenched and out of breath. Brick was carry Noah in his arms, who was half-conscious and deathly pale. "What the hell happened?" Duncan's eyes were wide. "The killer found us." Jo said. Chased us through the woods. String bean here," she gestured towards Noah. "got stabbed. Brick grabbed him and we ran for it." Brick gently laid Noah down on one of the bunk beds. "Where are the others?" asked Trent, his voice filled with concern. None of them met his gaze. "He got them." said Brick, his voice barely above a whisper. Those three words sent shockwaves throughout the room. The older cast had experienced this before, not us. Tears spilled down my cheeks as Mike wrapped me in a hug. For a moment, an uncomfortable silence hung in the air. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw something red on one of the bedsheets. I looked and saw Noah, lying there dangerously still. "Noah!" Everyone looked at me for a moment, then turned their attention towards him. "Does anyone have any medical training?" squeaked Cameron. Courtney immediately took charge. "I was a CI-" "Yeah, we know." said Heather rolling her eyes. I stepped forward. "I- I'm in my first year of med school." I stammered. All eyes were on me. "Can you do anything?" Gwen asked. I scanned the room, looking for something of use. I tore a large chunk of fabric  from a bedsheet and doused it water from the sink. Delicately peeling off the layers of bloodstained clothes, I placed the wet cloth on the gaping slash across Noah's chest and began cleaning it. He winced with every stroke. There was no way to stitch the wound, which would have been ideal, so I just tightly covered it with more torn bedsheets. "Rest for now. Don't exert yourself." I said. "You should be fine, but we must get off this island soon to get proper medical attention." Duncan then said dramatically, "We're planning to do exactly that, along with  throwing that psycho Charles McLean behind bars." As he ended his sentence, there was another boom of thunder outside.
