* Prologue *
Do you ever feel like your not good enough?
Do you ever feel like your every move is being watched by everyone?
Do you tremble at the thought of being around other people?
Do you dread the morning of school? Knowing you have to be with all those people again.
Do you lie to your parents about your time at school? Telling that it was good when in reality you were treated like a rag doll.
Do you sometimes wish you could go back in time and start over?
Do you sometimes wish that you never existed?
Do you ever feel judged?
Judged because of what you wear, Or your race, Religion, The color of your skin, Your facial features, Your weight, Your height, Your family, Your friends, Your sexual preference, Your personality, Even the way you talk or walk.
Some people are even judged for having the name that they have, or because they are depressed and choose to self harm. Others are judged by their relationship status.
But you know what the unrealistic thing about all this is? It almost always by people you don't know. People you've never even seen or spoken too. But they judge you, From things they've heard.
If only, You think to yourself, If only they stopped and got to know me, Would they change their minds ?

Hannah was judged. Heck, Who isn't?
Hannah had no one. She had no friends, No one to rely on. She basically lived on her own, Her mother was always out. Her father died when Hannah was 2. Te rest of her family lived over seas.
Hannah wasn't judged by her looks, or by her race,or even by her birthmark that covered a quarter of her neck.
She was judged because she couldn't hear.
Hannah was deaf. She couldn't make friends as they were unable to communicate with her. No one bothered with trying. If only they knew that Hannah could read lips.
Hannah wasn't deaf from the moment she was born, She became deaf at the age of 12. It was due to a car accident.
She still spoke, But didn't bother anymore since she didn't really have anyone to talk to.
The last time she said a word was 3 years ago.
People called Hannah names, like whore and a slut and bitch. These words, were stuck on the door of Hannah's locker day in and day out. Hannah knew what these words meant, Although she tried not to let it get to her. How was she a bitch or a whore? She never had a boyfriend ( not like she could actually talk to a guy..) and she didn't talk, So people didn't know how she was as a person.
No one knew anything about her, besides the fact that she was deaf.
People, "The Populars" mostly, tripped her in the halls, They'd nudge her around. They would throw paper at her, anything to make her life a living hell. They found it funny. Hannah surely didn't, But what could she do? No one cared about her.
Hannah was in and out of the hospital, They tried desperately to fix her ears, She wanted to hear again. She wanted to hear the sound of the conversations in the hallway, She wanted to be able to raise her hand in class when the teacher asks her a question. But most of all, She wanted to have friends. Just one would be enough. But alas, Her ears remained the same.
It wasnt until her last year at high school when she met him. He was different from everyone else. He made the effort.
He wanted Hannah to let him in, To be apart of her world. At first, She was scared.
But with those bright green eyes and a dimpled smile, How could she refuse?
