*Little A/N, since the main "Ciel" of the story's real name hasn't been announced, it may get confusing in this chapter. So current Ciel will be in regular text: Ciel; while the real Ciel will be: Ciel. Like I said, since the main character's real name hasn't been announced I have to think of something.*

It took a while for things to become...better? Sebastian's food is better, Ciel's learning is proceeding with higher marks. Ciel and I had agreed that I would take the title of the Queen's Watchdog, at least until he finished his studies. When Tanaka had become better and was able to be released from the hospital, he had come back to the manor, as well as Sebastian finding three new workers for the manor.

The first of the three, a boy by the name Finnian. Found by Sebastian and Ciel, Finny was brought in as our gardener. Not much was mentioned of his past during his hiring, but a part of me thinks that he was a captive due to his code on the back of his neck.

Next is our handmaiden, Mey-Rin.

She is an interesting character; a young woman with hazel eyes and maroon-red hair. Before bringing her into the manor as our handmaiden, as well as my personal maid, she was apart of Qīng Bāng, dressed as a boy with the nickname "Owl". Ironically she was assigned to hunt and kill me, as I had taken the title the Queen's Watchdog, as well as kill my brother incase he interfered. She's an assassin with amazing vision to see farther away. When Sebastian and I had accepted her in, we had given her some spectacles that would hopefully help her see closer objects as her vision is blurry to anything close by.

And finally, our cook Baldroy, or "Bard" for short.

An American war veteran whom Sebastian had actually saved from eating his fallen comrades. When he met Ciel and I to receive what roll he would play in the manor, in an easy way of putting, he didn't necessarily like what we told him. And unfortunately for Sebastian, Bard...couldn't cook a dish without burning everything and kept challenging claiming that burnt food is still "edible". Fortunately he was soon redeemed worthy when we had "special guests" while Ciel and I were sleeping. While he was praised for his defensive measures to protect us, he was unfortunately messy with his decisions and needed to clean his mess up before we woke up in the morning.

About a year later, I had received a letter.

"My lady, you have a letter," Sebastian had announced as he came into my office.

"Is it from the Queen?"

"No. And it isn't from Master Midford either."

"Hand it over, I'll get to it once I'm finished with this paperwork for Funtom," he put the letter to the side so that it'll still be in my sight for when I'm finished.

Funtom Co. a company that Ciel had come up with a while ago. Since he was the second son he couldn't take over the family name, so instead dreamt to open a toy shop in London.

"I told Ciel, that I may not be able to measure up to him, you or Father, but I need to be able to walk on my own two legs without any help."

"Honestly, the fact that you're thinking ahead, is a good but scary thing. You're my little brother, okay? Just please don't stray too far."

I recall our little conversation one day when Ciel was being stubborn.

"Sierra dear, would you go talk to Ciel?" Mother asked me the morning Father and the twins had come back home. "He won't listen to Tanaka and your brother."

"Of course Mother," she ran her fingers through my hair but before I left, Father stopped me.

"Oh, Sierra," Father took his ring off. The silver band with the ocean blue diamond reflected off the light. "Show this to him while you talk to him."
