This weekend was amazing. We made love from Friday to Sunday only stopping for me to eat and sleep. Kate went hunting while I was sleeping. Kate got a phone call. She was talking too low and too fast to hear what is going on. I wait till the phone calls over to ask, "What is wrong? What is going on?" Kate soothes me, "Nothing is wrong. Alice saw a vision. Remember I said some of us have gifts? Alice can see the future depending on a persons choices. She saw your dad investigating the accident because a buddy of his told him that only one blonde woman that wasn't me was driving the hummer in a picture from the Canadian Border. So we have to meet Tanya and drive around in public with the hummer before the "accident" happens. Make sense?" "Oh my gosh this is bad! What if he figures out what you are in his investigation? I don't want my Dad to die!" "Calm down, he won't die or find out about us. We just have to make sure that he sees that we were in that car before the accident." Kate says. "Ok but if this backfires somehow I'm not going to be happy!" I say and go to get ready to go. I get showered and dressed and brush my teeth and stick my hair in it's normal bun. I then gather up my belongings and put them in the mustang. Kate speeds to me and kisses me and says "Everything will turn out ok." "Should I call Dad and tell him everything? Like that I quit my job and college and am moving in with you in Alaska? Then he'll know I was with you. And he doesn't have to investigate if he knows I was with you, ya know?" I say. Kates phone goes off. She answers it staring at me and listens to what the caller has to say. She says "ok we'll do that then. Thanks Alice. Bye." "That was Alice. She saw the outcome of your idea and thinks it's a great plan. So I guess call your Dad. Be prepared to be yelled at." She says. "How reassuring! Sheesh!" I say and she laughs and says sorry. Kissing my cheek. I call Dad on my cell. It rings a couple times and he answers, "Hello?" "Hi Dad. I need to talk to you." I say. "What's up kiddo? Do you need money or something?" He asks. "No no, I made a big decision and you're not going to like it but it's already done so, yea." I stutter over my words trying to tell him. "Calm down Aspen. No matter what decision you made I still love you. Just tell me. It can't be worse than Bella getting married at 18. Oh God you didn't elope did you?" He asks. "No, no I'm in the process of transferring to the University of Alaska Fairbanks and quit my job and am currently driving through Canada with Kate to move in with her in Alaska." I explain quickly. "You're right. I'm not happy about that. You only had less than a year left to have a degree from Columbia! That's a better school than a university from Alaska!" There's a long pause..."I was once young and in love too so I understand you wanting to be with Kate. I just wish you didn't have to give up your dream college is all. Be careful driving in Canada." He says. "I'm sorry for disappointing you Dad. I just needed to follow my heart this time." I say. "I understand. Love you kiddo." "Love you to Dad. Bye!" "Bye" I hang up the phone. I realize that is probably the last time I talk with my Dad. I start tearing up. Kate rushes to me hugging me and kissing the top of my head apologizing, "I'm so sorry it couldn't be different love." I sniffle and straighten up. "Let's do this." She nods and helps me in her car. She gets in after locking the cabin up and drives off in the mustang. We drive a while hand in hand. We meet up with Tanya outside of Skagway and search for the best place to have the accident. On the outskirts of Skagway when you leave the town is a mountain side and a bend in the road with gravel on the road. I guess we found the best spot. We just have to go to town first. I get in the hummer with Kate. It smells awful in here. There's three gallons of gas in the trunk apparently. I put my window down. Much better. We drive through Skagway and stop to get snacks and drinks from the Klondike General Store. I also buy a nice camera from Last Frontier Electronics. We get back in the hummer and drive and meet Tanya outside Skagway. By this time it's dark out and nobody should see me switch cars. Tanya speeds all my stuff into the back seat of the mustang and the trunk. Tanya gets in the hummer and drives the hummer as fast as it will go and jumps out of the vehicle as the hummer keeps going over the guard rails and down the mountain hitting a big rock and exploding. Tanya adds more gasoline to the fire making the hummer unrecognizable. Tanya hands the gas tank to Kate and she puts it in the trunk of the car. Tanya bids us goodbye. "Wait don't you need a ride home?" I say. She says, "Thank you but Kate wants alone time with you and I don't mind running home. I'll hunt on the way back." "Ok have fun hunting." She waves and is gone in a blink. I get in the mustang with Kate and we drive away quickly. It takes us 12 hours to get to Denali National Park. I slept most of the time. When I wake up Kate informs me we're almost there. I nod and we drive down a long bumpy stone road till we get to a beautiful cabin in a clearing. Kate parks and we get out. I grab my luggage and Kate grabs a box from the back seat. We take my things inside. Kate speeds my things to her room while everyone welcomes me into the family. I thank them for the warm welcome, even from Irina who seemed stand offish at the wedding. "So when are you going to change me?" I ask Kate. Tanya walks in and says "Yes, when do you plan on changing Aspen Katrina?" I look at Kate. "You never told me your real name is Katrina?!" She laughs nervously. "Sorry love. My real name is Katrina but I PREFER Kate!" She looks pointedly to Tanya. Tanya just laughs and says "So?!" "When do you want changed my love? Do you need more time?" She asks me. "Now. I want changed now." I say. She nods and says "Now or never huh? Ok let's go to my room to do this." She leads me upstairs and down the hall. The bedroom is pretty big and has a nice sized bathroom attached to it. I see my boxes of stuff in the corner and all my luggage. "Lay down on the bed sweetheart." Kate says. I take off my shoes and lay down on the bed. Kate kisses me passionately and asks if I'm ready. I nod and say yes. She kisses me once more then quickly bites my wrists my throat and my chest by my heart. The pain from the bites are nothing compared to the pain from the venom spreading throughout my body. I've never experienced pain like it. I twist my body around and scream in agony. Kate stays by my side and apologizes now and then for the pain. She holds my hand and kisses it. I just writhed in pain and scream. At one point I started begging her to just kill me. To put me out of my misery. Then my heart started hammering in my chest but stopped completely. I open my eyes and wow! I can see dust particles in the air. I think about getting up and in a blink I'm up looking out the window. Everything is so much clearer! And beautiful! I turn around and see something more beautiful than anything. My mate! Mine!
